Amanda saw Elias chuckling, and he seemed pretty charming while doing so. Intrigued asked, “What’s so amusing? Did I say something funny?”
“Based on your performance last night, I can’t help but think that perhaps you do have: feelings for me,” he responded.

Nevertheless, he merely raised his arm and waved. Even from behind, Amanda could tell that he was still laughing, and he looked pretty charming as he did so.

She snorted in disdain and turned back toward the villa.
As Elias prepared to head toward his car, he spotted Crispin walking toward him. It appear that Crispin was likely heading home as well.
Elias stopped in his tracks. Crispin glanced at him, attempting to ignore him and pass by.
Unexpectedly, Elias called out, “Crispin.”
Crispin halted and turned to look at him. “Mr. Winters, is there something you need?”
Elias cut straight to the chase and commented, “Do you believe it’s worth resorting to such tactics to win Stephanie’s favor?” It was as if he had already uncovered the truth.
Crispin struggled to suppress his guilt and force a smile. “Mr. Winters, I’m not sure what you’re implying, but I’ll do whatever it takes to make Steph happy because I love her.”
It appeared as though he was playing dumb.
Elias’ lips curved into a smirk. “Put an end to your petty schemes. Jack will never give you another chance. As for getung involved with my woman, I will hold you responsible, but I don’t have time for that now

“Mr. Winters, I know you’re all influential figures. Even if you can’t locate the kidnappers, you shouldn’t blame me. It will only undermine your capability. Besides, I genuinely don know what I did to upset you. It seems like you’re singling me out in any case.”
Elias narrowed his eyes slightly and carefully scrutinized Crispin from head to toe. He ha underestimated Crispin’s unwavering determination to climb the social ladder.
Suddenly, Elias forcefully seized Crispin by the collar.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Crispin panicked, fully aware that he couldn’t match El strength. After all, he had witnessed Elias’ ruthlessness in the past.
“I’m warning you, you can pursue whatever you desire. If you want to win Stephanie’s hea you’re on your own. I won’t stand in your way. However, should you bring harm to my woman and child, be prepared to face the conO
sequences!” Elias declared.
He regarded Crispin’s timid demeanor with disdain. “By the way, Amanda is now the eldes daughter of the Allegra Family. If you have any intentions involving the Allegra Family, I won’t interfere. However, when it comes to Amanda, I will take charge. You’d best look afte yourself.”
Crispin’s face turned pale. He understood that he couldn’t compete with Elias.
At that precise moment, Stephanie coincidentally walked by and caught sight of the scene unfolding. Shocked, she exclaimed, “What on earth is going on?!”
Initially, Stephanie had intended to step outside and savor a breath of fresh air, feeling increasingly irritated by the constant bustle of her parents and Aiden engaging in a game of hide-and-seek.
However, as soon as she stepped out, she was confronted with this spectacle. Two men appeared to be engaged in a struggle, or more accurately, it seemed like Elias was pummeling Crispin.
Without hesitation, she hurriedly intervened and rescued Crispin from Elias clutches. What are you doing. Elias? Why are you bullying Crisp? Do you believe the things Amanda said? It’s no wonder you two were once married!”
The mere recollection of their past marriage stirred an instinctive anger within Stephanie. She couldn’t fathom why she was feeling this way

It had been a long while since she had been so close to Elias, and she couldn’t help but notice his undeniable handsomeness. It was unfortunate that he was her older sister’s ex-husband.
“Are you two planning to marry? If that’s the case, I can talk to your father, and you can rush into marriage and leave the Allegra Family,” Elias suggested.
“What gives you the right to interfere? Do I need your permission or your intervention with

Stephanie’s words were filled with resentment. If it hadn’t been for Amanda, perhaps she and Elias would have successfully become engaged in the past.
If things had gone differently, Elias would have been her fiancé by now.
The more Stephanie dwelled on the situation, the stronger her anger and jealousy became.
Meanwhile, Elias glanced at the woman before him and clicked his tongue disapprovingly. “I distinctly recall warning you long ago that this man isn’t as good as you believe. Yet, you remain stubborn.”
His words only intensified Stephanie’s rebellious spirit and gave her a sense of purpose.
“Well, are you any better? On the one hand, you pretend to be deeply in love and eager to be engaged to me, but on the other hand, you’re engaging in a passionate affair with Amanda. Don’t you realize you’re a sc*mbag? Since you can’t let go of Amanda, you have no right to interfere with whom I choose to be with! Either way, I won’t be with you.”
Stephanie’s resentful words placed the blame on Elias for his infidelity and lack of commitment.
Of course, Elias failed to grasp her meaning. After all, he was a straightforward man who couldn’t care less.
He chuckled coldly. “I couldn’t care less about whom you choose to be with, but the man you’re so passionately in love with has hidden motives. Naturally, I feel compelled to intervene. Besides, my woman now holds the title of the Allegra Family’s eldest daughter, so I have every reason to interfere.”
“Don’t come up with excuses, Elias. You’re just a sc*mbag who can’t let go of my sister and child, yet you insist on trying to manipulate my emotions! Don’t you think you’re being excessively domineering?” Stephanie shouted in anger.
Her words left Elias feeling inexplicably perplexed.
“Seriously, what a load of crap! It seems that hanging around garbage for too long can lower one’s IQ Elias retorted, paying her no further attention as he strode toward his car without a

“Elias, what are you saying?! Whom do you dare to call garbage? Who do you think has a lowered IQ?” Stephanie rushed forward to argue with Elias, but his car slowly drove away from the Allegra Villa.
Meanwhile, Crispin, who had been quietly observing the scene unfold, seemed to have figured something out. He started to believe that Stephanie’s love for him had diminished.
It was in the depths of her eyes and amid all the insults where he glimpsed a flicker of affection that couldn’t be concealed.
“Steph… Have you developed feelings for Elias?” Crispin voiced his suspicions.
Upon hearing those words, Stephanie abruptly turned around and reacted strongly. “Nonsense! I don’t have feelings for him! You’re spouting utter nonsense!”
“But you-”
“No buts about it! I don’t have feelings for Elias. I truly don’t!” Stephanie interrupted firmly.
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
