Chapter 185 To The Airport
Late at night, finally, after a grueling five-hour meeting, everyone stretched themselves out and left the conference room. Elias also stood up, and one of the executives proactively invited him. “Mr. Winters, would you like to join us for supper?”
“No, thanks. I have something to take care of. You all can go ahead and eat,” Elias replied.
His heart was already at home. He just wanted to return to Amanda and their child. Not seeing them for two days made him truly miss them. With a smile, he walked out of the conference room and headed toward the elevator.
Yacob, who was waiting outside, had fallen asleep. Hearing the footsteps, he instantly opened his stood up. “Mr. Winters, where are we going now?”

“Yes.” Yacob glanced at the time; it was already close to midnight, and his mind was starting to feel drowsy. He slapped his cheeks to stay awake since he had to drive later.
However, what Elias did not know was that at this moment, Amanda was packing her suitcase and preparing to take her son to the airport.
Over at Northern No. 1.
“Why are you packing the suitcase, Mommy? Are we going on a trip?” Aiden asked while holding his bottle. He had noticed that Amanda had been packing the suitcase for an hour. Are we going on a trip?
Busy and flustered, she glanced up at her son squatting in front of her. “We’re going to the airport. Hurry up and have Selina change your clothes. Quick, or we’ll miss the flight.”
“Are we going on an airplane? Where are we going?” he asked curiously.
“Yes, an airplane. Hurry up and change your clothes, she replied without lifting her head. Her mind was full of thoughts about whether she had forgotten anything important.
Selina walked in while holding clothes and carrying the kid. “Aiden, let me help you change your Don’t drink milk anymore, good boy.”

Amanda finally finished packing and breathed a sigh of relief, feeling exhausted as she lay on the bed. Suddenly, she thought it might be appropriate to call Simon before leaving without a word. She hesitated, then dialed his phone number. The call was quickly connected.
His voice sounded slightly surprised through the phone. “Amanda? To what do I owe the pleasure?”
It had been many days since she had proactively contacted him. She had even been avoiding him at the law firm.
“Simon, I need to tell you something. I’m sorry, but I’m leaving this place.”
“What do you mean? Leave this place? Where are you going?”
“I’m returning to Esmos with Aiden. If I leave this time, I may never come back. I’m sorry, I might have to break my contract with the firm.”
Simon, on the other end of the phone, grew anxious. “Why do you want to leave? Did something happen? Where are you now? Let’s meet up. We still need to hand over the work even if you’re leaving. You have a lot of cases on your hands, and you just became the legal advisor for the Winters Enterprise. How can you just say you’re leaving?”
“I know, I know all that. I can’t handle it all right now. There are some unavoidable reasons. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I have to go. I have no choice.”
She knew she was letting him down. He had hired her with a high salary from abroad, and now, she was leaving the law firm without creating any value. She felt ashamed.
“Where are you? I’m coming!
“No need. My mind is made up. I’m sorry.”
After saying that, Amanda hung up the phone directly. She knew it was wrong, but she cared more about her child. There was nothing more she wanted than to keep him by her side. With a new terrifying grandpa in the picture, an abduction did not sound fantastical.
At this moment, Selina had finished changing Aiden’s clothes. “Amanda, it’s almost time. You should leave quickly. I won’t go to the airport with you to avoid attracting attention. I’ll stay here,” she said.
Amanda suddenly felt like crying. She stepped forward and hugged Selina, tears welling in her eyes. There were still people who made her feel the warmth on this trip back to Cludan, like Selina.
“Selina, if I escape successfully, we might not see each other again. I hope you live a happy life.”
Selina also held her tightly, her voice choked. “Then, I hope we don’t see each other again. I hope you escape successfully.”
She could not help but laugh. “That’s truly a beautiful wish. Alright, we should leave now. I’ll video call you
often.”
“Okay. Be careful along the way and take care of Aiden and yourself.”
“Okay.”
Amanda took one last look at the house. This was Elias territory, so there were always traces of him. everywhere. She could not describe how she felt about him at that moment. However, no matter what she felt, it could not compare to the importance of her baby.
Four years later, she did not want anything else. She just wanted to keep the most precious person, Aiden, by her side.
She held his hand and grabbed the suitcase. “Let’s go, baby.”
“Mommy, why are we going on a plane? Where are we going? You’re not telling me anything.” He kept babbling while she held his hand, looking adorable.
She did not bother to respond to him since she could not explain anyway, so she pretended she did not

The mother and son arrived outside the residential area and took a cab to the airport. Elias’ house was located in a bustling area, so it was easy to hail one. As such, they could see a cab within-minutes.
After she stuffed the suitcase into the trunk, she suddenly saw Elias’ car entering the residential area. Her
heart skipped a beat, and her facial expression changed abruptly.
He had returned!
“Aiden, get in the car quickly! Hurry, hurry!”
He was still dawdling when he was forcefully squeezed into the car by her. Then, she got in the car and told the driver, “Sir, airport, please!”
She did not know why, but her heart was pounding with anxiety. Will Elias notice anything? I already instructed Selina before leaving. If he comes over, she should say that Aiden and I have gone out to watch a movie, deceive him for these few hours, and let us board the plane smoothly. Then, everything will be fine.
However, she was feeling extremely anxious. She had a feeling that Elias would not be fooled so easily.
Inside the cab, Aiden looked at his mommy’s worried expression and asked, “Mommy, are you feeling unwell?”
“No, maybe I didn’t sleep well last night. I’ll take a nap at the airport later and will feel better.”

An hour later, they arrived at the airport. Amanda completed the procedure and checked in their luggage, and only then did she finally breathe a sigh of relief.
The mother and son sat in the waiting area of the airport lounge. The flight would board in an hour, and everything would go smoothly as long as Selina could hold him up for another hour.
Her heart was racing, and she kept turning her head back to look from time to time, feeling as if Elias might suddenly appear.
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
