Estelle stood up and walked over to Gwen.
Blinking. Gwen looked at her with an innocent, hurt expression. “Estelle,”
“Slap!”
Without holding back, Estelle’s slap sent Gwen flying. Gwen screamed, falling to the ground. She tasted blood in her mouth and was completely stunned
An eene silence fell over the entire set
Gwen’s female assistant ran over, screaming. Seeing Gwen’s swollen face and the blood trickling from her mouth, she pointed at Estelle and shouted, “Do you know who you just hit? You’re gonna pay for this”
Everyone gathered around. The crew quickly dispersed the crowd, strictly forbidding any photos or leaks.
The set was in chaos.
Gwen was helped up, surrounded by assistants who shielded her with umbrellas, offered her water, and handed her disinfectant wipes.
The assistant director tumed to glare angrily at Estelle. “How could you hit someone? Even if you’re a top designer, we can still have you arrested!”
“Call the cops!” Estelle said coolly. “It’s the perfect chance to investigate why Craig fell and why there are saw marks on the back of the ladder!”
Everyone froze Gwen, clutching her swollen face and teary–eyed, said, “You hit me because you suspect I did it?”
Craig sharply looked up at Gwen.
“Whether you did it or not, you know best!” Estelle’s gaze was icy. “If you’re not afraid, call the police to investigate. I remind you, your actions constitute intentional harm!”
Gwen shivered, looking at Estelle with a pale face. “We used to be friends, and you’re framing me? Fine, I’ll take your slap because I know you’ve wanted to hit me for a long time Now we’re even!”
Estelle coldly responded, “No, I slapped you because you’re too evil. Craig only argued with you a bit, and you wanted him dead!”
She took a step closer to Gwen, her gaze serious. I’m warning you, this is the last time. If you dare target Craig again, I’ll make sure your reputation stinks, even if Jonathan is on your side, it won’t help!”
Gwen trembled as she looked at Estelle, but there was a hint of fear in her eyes.
Estelle didn’t bother with her anymore and turned to Craig. “I’ll take you to the hospital!”
Craig shook his head. “No need, my leg’s not broken. Just a scrape, some ointment will do.”
Luckily, he fell on decorative grass. Otherwise, he could’ve been seriously injured!
“Then let’s get you some ointment!” Estelle helped Craig up
They walked towards the first aid station, leaving the crowd behind in silence. Nobody dared to say anything else. This girl, who always seemed quiet and unassuming, was surprisingly decisive when it came to action!
Gwen’s assistant grumbled, “We’re just letting them go like that?”
Gwen covered her face, holding back tears, looking quite pitiful. “If we call the police, it might disrupt the filming schedule. Let it be, I’m fine. Let’s not waste
everyone’s time and energy.”
The assistant director immediately expressed his gratitude “Gwen, thank you for considering everyone else.”
Gwen shook her head, tears streaming down her face. I’m sorry, I have some personal issues with Estelle which have held everyone back. You guys go on with the filming. I need to rest”
The assistant director had a very good impression of Gwen. She seemed pure, kind, and considerate. Hearing her say this, he responded, “Okay, you rest first. If you don’t feel well, make sure to go to the hospital.”
“It’s okay!” Gwen forced a smile, and with assistance, returned to her dressing room.
