Miya asked curiously, “Why can your design blueprint still be played back?” 

Inman’s face had already relaxed, and he said with a smile, “This is an updated version made by Estelle’s friend. It has been upgraded with many powerful features. I asked you if you needed it before, but you said no.” 

Miya remembered that this had indeed happened. 

Estelle herself didn’t expect that having Amiee help her update the software would save her big time in this situation! 

Inman breathed a sigh of relief. “Alright, everything’s clear now! I think it’s obvious who is the plagiarist!” 

Alice looked embarrassed, turned to Carmella and asked coldly, “What’s going on?” 

Carmella’s face turned pale, her heart filled with panic and resentment. She thought to herself, why didn’t Estelle say that her computer could play back the design process from the beginning? Instead, she waited for Jason to arrive before revealing it. 

She looked at Alice anxiously, shaking her head non-stop. “I don’t know, I really don’t know what’s going on!” 

“You don’t know?” Inman snapped angrily. “It’s obvious that you copied Estelle’s design and set a trap to frame her! If we were the ones chosen today, you would accuse Estelle of plagiarism. If it were you guys, you would celebrate and maybe even frame Estelle as well! You’re just despicable and vicious!” 

Carmella’s eyes filled with tears as she sobbed, her face reflecting a sense of injustice. “No, I didn’t copy Estelle’s work, I swear! Today, I discovered that three of our designs were identical. That’s when I decided to check the surveillance footage and saw Estelle going through my drawer.” 

Jason’s voice turned cold as he inquired, “Did you ask Estelle to look for something in your drawer?” 

Carmella hesitated, torn between telling the truth and the fear of Jason uncovering evidence through call records. Tearfully, she nodded and confessed, “Yes, I called Estelle. That’s why I began suspecting that my design had been leaked.” 

She buried her face in her hands, sobbing miserably, as if she had suffered a great injustice. 

“You were lying from the beginning!” Estelle said coldly. “Now that you’ve been exposed, there’s no need to pretend you’re innocent. You know very well whether or not you plagiarized!” 

Carmella’s face bore the marks of tear stains as she pleaded with Jason, her voice filled with desperation. “Mr. Gilder, I swear, I didn’t copy her design!” 

Inman’s expression darkened as she scolded, “You expect us to believe you just because you say so? Estelle’s design came first! There’s no way that both your ideas turned out to be identical!” 

Alice shifted her gaze, making one final desperate attempt. “Can anyone prove that Estelle’s design was indeed created first? What if Carmella had finished her design prior to Wednesday?” 

Jason pondered for a moment before turning to Estelle and asking, “Once you completed your design, who did you show it to or where did you keep it?” 

Inman interjected, “Estelle only showed it to me.” 

She carefully recalled the day when Estelle handed her the design and suddenly remembered something. “That day, a client came in. I took some materials to talk with the client, and I handed the materials to Carmella to photocopy. Maybe I accidentally put Estelle’s design in there and Carmella saw it!” 

Carmella’s expression underwent a drastic change, her face turning pale and trembling as Jason issued the command, “Review the surveillance footage from the copy room.” 

Her tears halted abruptly, replaced by a mixture of fear and anxiety. 

Sandy swiftly retrieved the surveillance footage and played it on the computer screen for everyone to witness. 

The footage revealed that on Friday morning, Carmella entered the copy room carrying a stack of materials. As the footage played, it became apparent that she stumbled upon something out of the ordinary within the materials. She paused momentarily, then proceeded to take out her phone and capture a photograph. 

Sandy zoomed in on the surveillance footage, and the photo Carmella took was indeed Estelle’s design! 

As the video neared its end, Alice’s expression underwent a drastic transformation. Consumed by fury and humiliation, she snatched a stack of A4 paper from the table and hurled it at Carmella. 

“You shameless bitch! You have the audacity to plagiarize someone else’s design and then try to pin the blarne on others, causing me to lose face because of you!” 

Carmella recoiled, her entire body filled with disbelief. Fear etched across her face as she shook her head, realizing she had no remaining explanation to offer.
