The biggest noise was from other celebrities‘ fans, they were all riled up because Gwen really dropped the ball yesterday. She didn’t keep herself in check and let the press sing her praises way too much. That ticked off a lot of female celebs. 

Gwen’s fans were standing by her like a rock; they were strongly demanding her to come out and give an explanation. 

Rena said, “We gotta give the fans something, or they might just drop you like a hot potato,” 

A celeb’s public image was crucial, if it fell apart, they might get slammed left and right and might never bounce back. 

Gwen was at her wit’s end, “What should I say then?” 

“Let me chew on it!” Rena cooled her heels and said seriously, “Let’s just say the outfit was provided by GK, and it was indeed designed by KING. You didn’t deceive the fans and press.” 

Gwen nodded like a bobblehead, “Alright, post it on Twitter for me, just like that.” 

An hour later, Rena made a new post on Twitter in Gwen’s name explaining that she just saw the comments and public opinion online and clarified two things: first, the outfit was provided by GK Jewelry studio, the brand Gwen endorsed. Secondly, GK indeed told her that the outfit was designed by KING. 

Once Gwen’s post was out, the tide sort of turned in her favor. 

The outfit was indeed designed by KING, which meant Gwen didn’t fib. However, some netizens were still grilling her, asking why she said it was designed for her when it clearly wasn’t. That looked like she was too big for her britches. 

Gwen saw that there were still doubters, but her fans were still rooting for her. Plus, the company mobilized crisis PR, so things were temporarily under control. But before she could breathe a sigh of relief, GK dropped another bomb. 

Its official Twitter page also posted a clarification, stating the outfit was indeed designed by KING and it was a piece from two years ago. Gwen’s team requested to wear this outfit to the event, and that was why GK lent it to Gwen temporarily. 

Gwen was dumbstruck when she saw the post, she was about to blow her top. 

GK’s post was basically telling everyone that Gwen and her team knew the outfit wasn’t designed for her, but they still went ahead with the promo! 

She immediately called Rena, fuming, “What the hell is GK playing at? I’m their ambassador, we’re supposed to be on the same team, why are they throwing me under the bus?” 

Rena was also on edge, “I’m calling GK now to let them delete that post.” 

“Make them delete it now!” Gwen barked. 

Rena couldn’t get through to Harriet, so she had to talk to Harriet’s assistant, who replied nonchalantly, “Sorry, Rena, that post was made by our PR department. It’s just stating the facts, There’s no bias against anyone, and we’re not deleting it.” 

Rena insisted, “If you don’t delete it, we’re cutting ties!” 

The assistant said calmly, “Then let’s cut ties. But the contract isn’t up yet, if you terminate it unilaterally, you’ll have to pay penalties as per the agreement.” 

Seeing GK’s refusal to budge, Rena was pissed off, “Where’s Harriet, I need to see her.” 

“I’m sorry, but Harriet’s busy, she might not have time to meet you. But I’m speaking for her.” 

Rena was fuming, but she had to keep her cool. She toned it down and said, “Gwen is GK Jewelry studio’s spokesperson, damaging her image does you no good. Why are you doing this?” 

The assistant simply chuckled, “Our brand has always been about authenticity, we always strive for truth in everything we do. Since this matter involves our brand, we have a duty to set the record straight. Like I said before, we’re not targeting anyone.” 

Rena was at a loss for words, GK Jewelry studio’s statement didn’t have any biased language, but it definitely put Gwen in a bad light. 

They also couldn’t break off with GK Jewelry studio at the moment. If they did that now, wouldn’t that be admitting that Gwen was scared and deliberately creating news for publicity? Who knew what the netizens would say then.
