Maja’s eyes welled up with tears, worried that if she stayed any longer, she would lose control of her emotions. 

If Neil was still healthy, she could let herself argue with him, resent him. But he only had a year left to live.

With that, Maja left. When she reached the ground floor of the hospital, she felt a chill run through her body. Even though it was summer, the cold seemed to seep into her every bone. At the Raymond Mansion, where everyone was gathered, dinner was over. 

As lan was about to leave, Holden couldn’t help but hold him back and started trying to talk some sense into him. 

“You have to keep grandpa’s words in mind. Bring a gift this week when you visit Neil.”
