When Maja got home, it was already 4 a.m.
The sound of crying she had heard outside the door still rattled her.

He squinted slightly. The Casson family?
Alma? But Alma wasn’t important in the Casson family.

The Casson family and the Raymond family were relatives, with lan even having to call Eden his grandfather. If he took action against the Casson family, both families would be thrown into chaos.

“The thing he cares about most is a woman named Cornelia, but Cornelia has already been signed to Maja’s company and is now one of her artists.”
lan immediately understood Maja’s intentions.
Valuing Cornelia’s talent was only part of it. On the other hand, Cornelia could also serve as her weapon against the Casson family.

lan leaned back in his chair, laughing at himself in a self–deprecating manner, just like he used to.

“Find someone to deal with, Alma.”
Whether she could dodge a bullet like Maja did would depend on how capable she was.
Since Omar was a madman, there was no need to confront him directly.

When he sent Connie to the mental hospital, lan never thought about letting her out.
“Ignore her.” His tone was calm. His car had arrived at Greenfield Gardens.

It was Darlene.
Darlene had been waiting here all night.
Upon seeing lan’s car, she immediately jogged forward.

lan didn’t say anything, nor did he tell the driver to stop.

Darlene knocked on the car window, looking pitiful.
“Mr. Raymond, I’ve been waiting for you all night. I talked to Mr. Pennyfeather, but she still won’t let me act in Star Movie Group’s new drama. I told her it was your idea, but she said she’s tired of you.”
lan lowered the car window when he heard this.
This was something Maja would say, but she would only say it if the woman in front of her had said something even more outrageous.
Looking at the foolish face in front of him and thinking about how he had once been involved with her, he felt disgusted. He even felt as if he had been
defiled.
Darlene was very confident in herself, thinking that lan lowering the window meant he had feelings for her.
“Mr. Raymond, I’ve been waiting for you all night; it’s so cold. Can I get in the car? I want to keep you company tonight.”
lan wrote her a check for half a million dollars.
“If Maja doesn’t want you to act, then don’t. She may be tired of me, but I’m not tired of her. If you have nothing to do, don’t go looking for her.”
Darlene looked at the check, once again astonished by lan’s generosity.
But people’s greed is endless. Having seen his lavishness and considering his appearance and status, Darlene wished she could stay by his side forever.
At this moment, lan had already closed the window.
“And don’t come looking for me again. We shouldn’t see each other anymore.”
His car slowly drove into Greenfield Gardens.
Darlene had been distracted by his handsome face and didn’t notice what he had said. When she came, it seemed like he had said, Even if Maja was tired of him, he wasn’t tired of Maja?
