No one knew there was a mishap here except for Maja, who had been sitting in the car not far away, never driving over.
Maja just wanted to see if Cornelia could hitch a ride, but she saw that scene instead.
She stood far away, not knowing the specifics of the two’s argument. She only saw Omar commit murder, and Cornelia nearly doing the same to Omar.

“Dad, Mom.”
The two sat in the narrow living room, both with worried looks on their faces.
Cornelia’s mom pulled Cornelia’s dad, slowly shaking her head.
Seeing this, Cornelia’s heart tightened.
She immediately understood that her parents already knew about her abortion, they were heartbroken for her but also angry.

The two sighed silently.
Cedric quietly smoked, while Aurora began to cry.
Cornelia’s hand clenched on the side, she really hated herself.
Aurora cried for a while, then asked, “Are you feeling better? Why didn’t you tell us about this? Why did you just go quietly?”
Cornelia lowered her head and knelt in front of Aurora.
“Mom, I’m sorry.”
Aurora lifted her hand and gently stroked her head.
“You don’t need to apologize to us. Your father and I are just upset. We couldn’t resist the Casson family and we never thought their methods would be so low. Cornelia, it’s your father and I who are incompetent, making you suffer!
Cornelia’s strength collapsed in an instant, she bit her lip tightly, only tasting blood in her mouth.

Cornelia decided not to hide it this time. “I ran into Omar on the way home. He wouldn’t leave me alone, but it’s okay; I fought back.”
