She’d long known where lan’s room was, and now she was upstairs, getting ready to knock on his door.
lan thought it was Maja coming back, there was a glint of joy in his eyes.
Carlene had turned on the recording function on her phone before she knocked on the door. She continued to knock.
lan opened the door, and the joy in his eyes disappeared when he saw her.
“lan, there’s trouble! Maja has fallen into the water! You want to go check it out? It’s a total mess downstairs!”
Hearing about the chaos downstairs, lan frowned. Hearing that this woman was also here, his frown deepened.
“lan, she might be in danger.”
But lan didn’t respond to her, he just closed the door.
lan thought for a moment and realized that this woman was stirring the pot on purpose, probably just to get him to go downstairs and reveal her identity. What a well–thought–out plan!
“lan, are you just going to leave her like this?”
“I wish she would drown and stop causing trouble for everyone.”
His tone was indifferent; the door was already closed.
Carlene stood outside the door, almost bursting into laughter.
She paused the recording, the corners of her mouth slightly raised.
She didn’t believe that after hearing this recording, Maja would still have any thoughts about lan.
lan was in his room, feeling very annoyed. After taking a shower, he felt her scent on the bed when he lay down.
Was he bewitched?
If he opened the closet now, he would definitely find some of Maja’s dresses inside and wonder why her clothes were here. Only couples were assigned the same room here.
But lan was messed up by Maja, and thinking about what happened in the fitting room that night, he swallowed hard.
He closed his eyes. He didn’t want to stay in this room anymore, so he called for a helicopter to get out of there. He decided not to participate for the next two days. Maja had been sent to the hospital at this moment.
Samuel was very worried, but he didn’t call lan.
He didn’t want lan to care about Maja at this time, and then Maja would accept the kindness of this nominal husband.
The doctor was resuscitating Maja, which was successful, but because she had been underwater for a long time, he told Samuel.

Maja lay weakly in bed, completely powerless.

At three in the morning, Maja woke up.
She felt as her chest was being crushed, and breathing was very difficult.
When she saw Samuel’s face, there was a hint of confusion in her eyes, but she couldn’t speak, Samuel sat beside her and told her, “Don’t speak; just rest until tomorrow; you just drowned.” Maja had no choice but to close her eyes.
Her phone was also nearby, miraculously undamaged after drowning.
Samuel picked up the phone, had the hospital staff blow it dry, and then handed it back to her.
At eight in the morning, Maja woke up, but she started to have a fever.
The doctor came over to give her an IV. She sat in bed, her face pale.
Samuel asked, “How did you fall into the water?”
“Someone pushed me,”
But she didn’t see who it was.
Even now, her mind was filled with the moment she fell into the water, her body sinking rapidly, falling into the water, and then seeing the endless darkness underwater. That fear of the unknown was enough to make anyone break down.
