Chapter 308
Carlene didn’t suspect a thing or notice Connie’s anxious and confused walk.
When Connie reached the dessert area, she saw Mia having a heated conversation with Samuel.
“I know you were with Penny tonight, Samuel. Do you get it? She’s a flighty girl! She’s not worth you at all!”
Mia, seething, gripped his arm tightly. “You gain nothing from being with her. Come grab a bite with me. Everyone’s planning to pull an all–nighter tonight.”
Indeed, at this annual gathering, few choose to hit the hay early. Since they’ve come, it’s all about having a good time.
And it’s a pretty good chance to mingle with people their age.
Samuel was a bit annoyed by her pestering, but considering she was Fitch’s sister, he didn’t want to embarrass her, so he just scanned around the area. He clearly saw Penny coming this way; where did she suddenly go?
The two people everyone was looking for were still on the small balcony.
lan had been persisting for too long, and Maja was feeling uncomfortable..
So, two hours later, Maja began to resist.
lan was frustrated when he saw her pitifully say, “I’m not ticklish anymore, no more.”
He was both angry and amused.
“Almost done.”
He regained his sanity, unable to torture her further, just holding her tightly for the last few minutes.
Afterward, his forehead rested against her shoulder.
This was their second time being intimate.
He slowly adjusted his clothes, picked her up, and took her back to her bedroom.
Her room card was still on her.
He didn’t leave immediately, but put her in the bathtub, washed her thoroughly, even in the most private areas, made sure there was no residue left on her body, then picked her up and put her back in her pajamas.
She must have been exhausted; she rolled over on the bed, found a comfortable spot, and fell asleep.
It was already three in the morning, and people were still having fun in different areas.
lan intended to wait for her to wake up, but that meeting she disturbed was still waiting for him. Despite being delayed for
several hours, he had to deal with it.
He would ask her in the morning what she thought.
If she wanted a divorce, he could accept her…
He lowered his head after he had just been intimate with her.
The next morning, Maja woke up to find herself sleeping on the floor.
Her pajamas were hanging off her.
She immediately propped herself up and found her waist directly touching the floor while her legs were hanging off the bed.
She frowned in pain, immediately got up, and felt an unbearable pain in her waist.
She rubbed her waist and felt her whole body was a bit weak. Was it because she fell off the bed in the middle of the night?
Her mind was also a bit fuzzy, everything seemed to feel off after drinking the wine Samuel passed her.
But she couldn’t remember what happened after,
She was very thirsty but eventually seemed to find water.
She breathed a sigh of relief, no embarrassing incidents occurred, and she was lucky to return to her room early.
But now there was a problem, she didn’t bring a change of clothes, and Connie only gave her pajamas last night.
She saw her phone next to her, which could now turn on.

But before she could call her, Connie had already received a call from lan.
lan’s meeting had been going on until now.
“Get someone to send Penny a set of clothes. Didn’t her clothes get wet yesterday?” lan said.
Upon hearing lan’s voice, Connie’s cheeks reddened.
“Okay,” she answered.
She didn’t know if it was her imagination, but his voice conveyed satisfaction.
Just as Maja was about to call Connie, the doorbell rang.
She opened the door, arid there was Connie.
Connie didn’t look her in the eye, just handed her the clothes.
“Penny, get dressed quickly,” she said.
Maja smiled and said, “Thank you.”
Connie quickly glanced at her neck; thankfully, lan didn’t leave any mark. Otherwise, it would be troublesome if someone found out.
