When Maja got back to Rosewood Manor, she saw a car parked outside. She immediately knew it was lan, and she froze
Almost instinctively, she backed away and quickly left Rosewood Manor
But she was in a foul mood. She was thinking about all the problems with her new house. She had been wronged by the Pennyfeather family, and now she had to hide from her husband in name, lan, at Rosewood Manor
She felt like crying. She found a random bench around the manor and sat down.
The night wind was a bit chilly, and she felt a tightness in her chest.
Just as she was thinking about going back to RosenGarden, a pair of black leather shoes suddenly stopped in front of her
She was startled, and looked up to see lan standing in front of her, staring at her.
Maja’s heart skipped a beat and all her emotions disappeared. All she could think about now was whether lan knew her true identity
“Penny? I thought I was seeing things”
Why was this woman near Rosewood Manor? Was she just passing by or was she walking her dog like before?
Maja’s thoughts were racing.
“Mr. Raymond, I mentioned earlier today that I wanted to take you out for dinner. I happened to be passing by, I was going to call you, but I’m not sure if you’re free.”
The lighting here was dim, but it seemed like he could see tears in her eyes.
She might have been crying just now, but she quickly hid her vulnerability when he showed up.
Was it because of work, or family?
For some reason, the image of that man flashed through his mind,
If it wasn’t for the fact that he had actually seen that man come to pick up Maja, lan would never have associated such a man with Maja.
It’s not that he looked down on ordinary people. It’s just that in this world, everything is about matching statuses.
Low education, ordinary looks, average job.
And Maja was an outstanding graduate of Arcadia School of Modern Art, beautiful, graceful, and her design fees alone could rack up millions. Such a man shouldn’t have anything to do with Maja. But he was her husband, and Maja seemed to be very loyal to him.
He didn’t quite understand.

He didn’t usually eat late-night snacks.
But he saw her desolate posture.
“What would you like to eat?”
Maja was taken aback and looked up at him.
lan didn’t show any emotion on his face.
As far as Maja knew, lan was very careful with his diet because of his stomach condition. And unless he was working overtime, he had a very regular schedule. He wouldn’t eat late-night snacks.
She just casually mentioned it to change the subject, but didn’t expect him to actually respond. Now she didn’t know what to eat
In the end, they decided to go to a restaurant.
Maja was still a bit dazed when she sat down. Was she really having a late-night dinner with lan?
Ian sat across from her and ordered a set meal for two.
He had never eaten in a restaurant like this before. He also rarely dined out alone with a woman. So he had no idea that the set meals in the restaurant were designed for couples.
Maja also didn’t realize this
Until someone brought a bowl of fresh rose petals and spread them on the table, Maja was stunned.
lan remained calm, glanced at the waiter, and the waiter smiled slightly.
“Enjoy your meal.”
lan frowned slightly, hearing Maja say, “Mr. Raymond, you must not go out to eat with women often. The set meals in this kind of restaurant are designed for couples
Because Maja said it so naturally and generously, and it seemed like she didn’t feel embarrassed at all, lan was somewhat surprised.
