Chapter 766
Natasha was seething with rage. She knew how sincere Dustin’s feelings were for Dahlia. It even made her envious.
But Dahlia not only took it for granted, she also resorted to violence. How could she be so foolish? Natasha had reached her limit today. Dahlia could raise her hand against anyone but her man. “Forget it, Natasha. Let’s go. I have nothing else to say,” Dustin said impassively.
“Hmph! Reflect on your actions!” Natasha sneered and got in the car before speeding away.
“How did it come to this? How?” Dahlia muttered to herself as she watched the tail lights disappear. She was lost and disoriented.
Although she acted impulsively earlier, she was just preventing Dustin from making another big mistake. Why did nobody understand her? What exactly did she do wrong?
“Dahlia, what are you doing out here? It’s cold. Let’s go back in.” Julie had rushed out after her. She wrapped a coat around her to keep her warm.
“Julie, do you think I was wrong?” Dahlia asked, still looking lost.
“Of course not! It’s all Dustin’s fault!” Julie said with righteous indignation, “Gavin clearly saved him. He’s not only ungrateful, but he even resorted to violence. He doesn’t have a heart!” “Dustin isn’t usually like that. Why was he so different today?” Dahlia couldn’t understand. “Why else? He was jealous, of course!” Julie explained seriously, “Gavin comes from a wealthy family in Oakvale. He has power and authority. Plus, he’s good–looking. Dustin clearly envies him and feels hatred for him. Not to mention he saw you dancing with him. He must have been furious. That’s why he hit him.”
Dahlia fell silent after hearing Julie’s explanation. She didn’t know who to trust anymore. Her mind was a mess, and her heart felt empty. It was as if she lost something precious.
Even though she hated to admit it, she had inadvertently pushed Dustin toward Natasha. While she and Dustin grew more distant in the process.
Meanwhile, in the car, Natasha couldn’t contain her curiosity any longer. “What happened between you and Dahlia? Why did she hit you?”
“It’s almost comical to discuss.” Dustin chuckled and briefly explained the situation to Natasha. As Natasha listened, her expression turned cold. She cried out in fury, “She’s too much! How can she hit you because of someone she just met? What a wench!”
She had always thought of Dahlia as a candid person. It turned out that she was just foolish. How could she not see Dustin’s true character after all this time? She’d rather believe a stranger than him.
To Natasha, Dahlia was the most foolish woman ever.
“Forget it. It’s all in the past now. Let’s not bring it up anymore.” Dustin shook his head.
Their conflict started from Dahlia’s lack of trust and Gavin’s scheming. Gavin portrayed himself as the hero, saving the damsel in distress. He offered his timely help and appeared righteous. It made his act quite convincing.
But if Dahlia had fully trusted Dustin, this situation wouldn’t have happened either. In the end, a rift still existed between them.
“Does it still hurt?” Natasha asked tenderly.

And now let’s take a second to think how different Natasha’s behaviour to Dahlia’s is. This is ridiculous, and it’s like Third time Dustin tries to leave Dahlia alone, but something wrong happens and he jumps back to her. Holy please leave that dumb chick alone! Natasha is MILES ahead of her.
That were super good 25 chapters today! Azkaban was funny part, and Scarlet beating grandmaster like nothing was a surprise!

I think someone’s surroundings is very important. Dahlia should have take her distance with auch a toxic surrounding. Julie, Florence, James (RIP) to name only these person’s fooled her and make her confused all the time. The crux of Dahlia’s dilemma is that all the time she thought that she was protecting Dustin but all along it was the other way around. In 766 chapters Dustin has proven himself but Dahlia still blindly believes that she was the one who reared Dustin into safety. That just goes to show a dominant person trying to exert herself as the better of the 2 and yet Dustin still has feelings for her. 3 years is a lot of time. You have invested emotionally into a quiet life with the woman you love until death and yet she could not see that Dustin gave up everything for her. Natasha on the other hand has a keen eye. She saw a diamond that she thought was from the rough but as Natasha peeled off each event. Early on she knew Dustin is more than meets the eye. Dustin is more than anyone can expect because he wanted to lay a low profile. I bet that Dustin will still save Dahlia and in that moment Dahlia will truly see who Dustin is but for Dustin it would not mean anything. Just an act of kindness on his part with no love attached. For all times sake. Natasha has a stiff competion ahead with Scarlet while Dahlia is left in the sidelines tattered. I hope the story revolves if Natasha’s feelings for Dustin is genuine or is it just because what Natasha has seen early on. To me Dahlia will still move on but with a deep regret and hatred towards Dustin for not telling her who he really is. For natasha it’s something she wanted to know more the possibilities of who Dustin really is. For Scarlet it would be something that she would like to reclaim. Is Natasha’s feelings for Dustin genuine, something that can mend his broken heart?
I might an exception here but I think that There is no excitement at all if it wasn’t for Dahlia. The chemistry between Dustin and Dahlia is so much different than the others. The push and pull between Dustin and Dahlia is just very exciting. I am definitely rooting for them as their relationship seems genuine than others. I hope they end up together.

The reason Dustin loved Dahlia more its because with her his identity can be kept a secret, a quiet life even with all the bickering on the side. while Natasha on the other hand, Dustin will get easily exposed as who he really is. He could not afford exposure early on because he has not accomplished his goals. Learning who really murdered his mother and something more darker. A sibling who also got killed not by an enemy but with Dustin’s hand. Dustin maybe secretly protecting his father. Compromising his father is something he could not afford if he gets exposed.

I think the story is about Dahlia and Dustin so putting her out of the picture to me would make it uninteresting. Dahlia will always act that way because she thinks she know about him after three years of living with him while Natasha gets to know of his abilities in a month time he tends to be secretive around Dahlia, so we don’t have to blame her for whatever way she act it’s because she is worried about him getting in trouble with powerful people ( we should remember she is from the bottom trying to get to the top)

I could not help but laugh to those comments clamoring that Dahlia be taken out from this novel. But the story is about Dustin and Dahlia, and it’s the two of them that make the scenes in the novel both exciting and disgusting to the tastes of the readers. Without Dahlia this would be a dull and boring novel and the emotion of the readers could never be ignited. Just have some more patience to Dahlia until the author writes the last chapter

Make Dahlia suffer, being played by Gavin and Tyler then let Dustin kill them both. Only to let Dahlia and her family know she made a mistake, again, and let Dustin be cold as ever to Dahlia and her family and to never be nice even when they are in need.
For those few who still thinks that Dahlia should end up with Dustin are twisted psychos. Given that sure, Dahlia doesn’t know about Dustin’s background which is why she always believes that she has to save Dustin out of trouble. However, this is not the first time. This has happened 3 or 4 times already where Dahlia and the Nicholson will side with the “other” guy and distrust Dustin and all those times, Dustin eventually proves them he is right. Other things – such as getting the investment of Brooks, getting the money back from the Flame Dragon Gang, proving that Hank ordered James’ death, etc. – should have earned Dustin the benefit of the doubt from Dahlia (never mind her family). I was getting happy when Dahlia started to trust Dustin when she found out that Florence and James has always been manipulating her (i.e. the video wherein Dustin beat Florence and James but the audio was muted) but here we are again. Same old Dahlia.
Natasha on the other hand met Dustin as a stranger. Sure, she saw his skills gradually as time went on but only because she had trusted him since the very beginning. She never questioned Dustin and has always been on his side. Like Dahlia, she also felt the need to protect Dustin (because she only thought that Dustin is just a skilled martial artist and doctor with no strong background). But unlike Dahlia, she never ever doubted him. She would always believe in him even when his actions might seem unreasonable. Dahlia is just plain toxic. If in the end, Dahlia ends up with Dustin, I swear I will rewrite this novel.

Why are you all saying that Natasha only love Dustin because of his abilities. The question is? Why do you think dahlia started to love Dustin?.it was because she started to see his abilities too.
It would be great if Natasha ended up with Dustin and not dahlia because dahlia can be easily convinced unlike Natasha.
Despite the fact that Dustin had proven himself alot to dahlia unlike Natasha still dahlia have a doubt about her love for him by not trusting him.
