Chapter 497 Bring Them Back Together
After regaining her composure, Amanda smiled and said, “Aiden, it’s me.”
“Mommy, are you feeling better? Daddy said you were sick and unwell, so you haven’t called me in the past few days.”
That’s how Elias explained it to the child. Amanda couldn’t help but laugh and replied, “Yes, I’m better now. Have you been behaving well over there?”
“Yes, Mr. Yacob always praises me for being well–behaved.”
“That’s good.”
“Mommy, Daddy said you and he will come to pick me up soon. Is it true, or are you tricking me again?”
She hesitated momentarily, thinking about what Elias had said earlier, and replied, “Maybe Daddy really wants to come and get you.”
“Yes! I can finally go home. Mommy, I don’t want to stay here. This strange uncle always. stops me from doing this and that, and he’s so mean. He even wants me to call him Daddy, but I won’t.”
She smiled and said, “Sweetie.”
Amanda remembered the plan she had set up to frame Melissa and wondered if Symeon had found her in these past few days.
Aiden’s innocent voice came through the phone, “Mommy, Mr. Yacob wants me to go over.”
“Then, go quickly. Remember, be a good boy and listen to Mr. Yacob. We’ll bring you home.
soon.”
“Okay.”
She unexpectedly felt nervous after she hung up the phone, but she couldn’t explain why.
Elias seemed determined to bring their child back, even though he still hadn’t regained his memory. Could his current physical condition really handle sitting on a plane for more than ten hours, though?
She couldn’t help but worry, but she also wanted to bring their child back as soon as possible. The longer Aiden stayed by Symeon’s side, the more danger he would be in.
This was because Symeon could discover the truth and even direct his anger toward
innocent Aiden at any moment.
Suddenly, her phone rang.
She glanced at it and saw an unfamiliar number, which looked familiar.
She answered the call, but she only heard a panicked woman’s voice on the other end, “Amanda! How could you be so heartless! You actually told Symeon that I was planning to kidnap your son, and now he’s treating me like a kidnapper and has me wanted everywhere!”
She was stunned for a moment, then chuckled lightly and said, “I didn’t expect Mr. Lawrence to act so quickly, but it seems he’s not fast enough; otherwise, you wouldn’t have had time to call me.”
“Why did you do this?!”
Melissa sounded furious on the phone as she shouted hysterically.
Amanda laughed. “Who do you think you are to ask me that? What gives you the right to let Symeon keep my son? What gives you the right to destroy the happiness of our family of three? If it weren’t for you, Elias would not have had a car accident and lost his memory; if not for you, how could I have been separated from my baby? And now, you have the nerve to ask me why I did this?!”
“Amanda! Don’t celebrate too soon, as I won’t spare you once I’m caught!”
“I would love to see what you can do once the truth is revealed.”
After saying that, Amanda hung up the phone.
After hanging up, she felt a bit uneasy, so she dialed Symeon’s phone number after hesitating. for a while. It rang for a long time before he answered.
Symeon, who was on the other end of the phone, seemed to be in a meeting, and his tone was not friendly. “What’s the matter? Please speak quickly as I’m in a meeting.”
“Well, Melissa called me again.”
He remained silent for a few seconds, “What did she say to you?”
“She threatened me, saying that if she is caught by you, she won’t let me go. I guess if she is found by you, she will make up stories. You should decide what to believe from what she
says.
“I don’t need you to teach me that, as I knew.”
Amanda said, “Well, you’re busy then.”

When she was about to hang up, Symeon said again. “Don’t answer if she calls you again and leave this matter to me. I’ll just eliminate her if she threatens you again.”
Eliminate her? If she’s eliminated, how will we ever know the truth?
“No… we need to keep her alive. We need to know why she’s doing this.” Amanda couldn’t help but feel scared. If Melissa is really eliminated by him, then this matter will never be resolved.
“Fine, I’ll keep her alive for you since you want to know why.”
Amanda felt that the atmosphere was strange for some reason. She coughed and replied, “Well, you’re busy. I’ll hang up first.”
After hanging up the phone, she breathed a sigh of relief. She had to save Aiden as soon as possible to feel at ease and then let Symeon and Melissa fight each other like dogs.

After Symeon hung up the phone in the meeting, his face became even grimmer.
He didn’t expect Melissa to be so audacious. She was running for her life, yet she still had the audacity to threaten Amanda.
If it weren’t for Amanda’s plea just now, he might have ordered his men to eliminate Melissa without leaving any potential threats.
He found it strange that Amanda had such an attitude.
He glanced at the employee who was reporting the work and then made a phone call. A voice. came from the other end, “Mr. Lawrence, what can I do for you?”
“How is it going? Have you caught the person?”
“We are scouting the area and found her hiding in a farmhouse, so we plan to take action.
after dark.”
“Remember, keep her alive and bring her back, as I have some questions to ask.”
“Yes, Mr. Lawrence. By the way, I found out that this woman is accompanied by her mother and a little girl. Should we bring them back?”
A little girl?
He frowned involuntarily. “How old is the little girl?”

“She looks about two or three years old.”
She is the same age as Aiden.
Suddenly, he remembered the nonsense Amanda had said long ago about having a child. with Melissa in a hospital.
More and more doubts seemed to surface.
He said in a deep voice, “Bring them all back.”
“Yes.”
After hanging up the phone, he continued the meeting and glanced at the tablet beside him. The surveillance camera at home showed Aiden playing with a gardener.
Lately, this little guy seemed always to be playing with this gardener, which made him suspicious.
At Winters Enterprise in Cludan.
Elias was in his office, assigning tasks to the company’s executives as he was about to leave for about half a month.
At that very moment, the landline phone rang. He swiftly pressed the answer button, and hist secretary’s voice said, “Mr. Winters, Miss Momsey is here. She insists on seeing you, and it’s imperative. I informed her that you were engaged in a work discussion, but she insisted on waiting for you to come out.”
He was about to instruct her to wait, but suddenly, a realization struck him, like an inner voice guiding him, which compelled him to treat Rosie with nothing but utmost kindness.
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
