Amanda narrowed her eyes. She already knew what business this man was into.

The woman, beaten and bruised, was lying on the ground as she sobbed. It was heartbreaking, and Amanda wanted to cry just by looking at the woman.
Amanda approached and tried to help the woman up, but the woman jerked and instinctively pushed her away.
Grabbing the woman’s hands, Amanda asked, “What’s your name?”
“Who are you? Why do you care about my name? You filthy scoundrels, get out! I will never yield!” the woman shouted.
Amanda tightly hugged the woman. Then, with her back facing the man behind her, she whispered in the poor woman’s ear, “Don’t be afraid. We will get out of here.”
“Hey! What are you saying? Let me hear it! You are to dissuade her from fighting, not to add. fuel to the fire!” the man shouted angrily.
For a moment, the woman visibly stiffened in Amanda’s arms.
Amanda let go of the woman in her arms and gently said in a coaxing voice, “Stop struggling. Since we are here, we can’t escape. If we can’t escape, we should find a way to suffer less. What can you achieve by being beaten up? They won’t let you die. They will only make you suffer before forcing you to accept your fate. It’s meaningless.”
The woman stared blankly at Amanda as if she were wondering what Amanda whispered just now was only a hallucination.

“Okay, Moon. Have faith in me. Someone will come to save us.” She believed that Elias would come to save her as he would definitely find this place.
“Why are you so confident? We don’t stand a chance of escaping at all.”
Amanda smiled and replied, “Still, you chose to trust me. If you truly trust me, then there’s no need to question so much. People can shape their destinies, and it’s up to us to seize the opportunity to break free.”
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink.
