Chapter 417 Symeon’s Slowly Falling In
The dawn broke.
Rosie was still stationed outside, almost dozing off and falling to the ground.
She stood up and stretched with a yawn. Suddenly, the door to the ward swung open. Yacob walked out with his men, wearing a cold expression.
Rosie didn’t attempt to initiate a conversation with him because she knew he wouldn’t respond to her.
Yet, she wondered, What were these people plotting inside the ward?
Rosie furrowed her brows as she closely observed them.
Yacob glanced at the woman standing outside the door, then looked at his subordinates and said, “Go back and get ready. The flight leaves tonight. See you at the airport.”
“Understood.”
Thus, the four of them turned around and departed.
After hearing Yacob’s words, Rosie couldn’t help but ask, “Where are you all headed? With Eli in this state, are you sure you want to leave? Can’t you wait for him to wake up?”
“It will be too late if we wait for him to wake up,” Yacob replied.
She didn’t quite understand the meaning behind his words because she knew nothing of the situation.
“What do you mean by that?”
“You don’t need to understand what I mean, but you should know this-even if I’m not here, you won’t be able to get inside. I will have someone guarding this place 24 hours a day, and no one will be able to enter.” After saying that, Yacob turned and went back into the ward.
Rosie clenched her fists in anger, but she could do nothing.
Inside the ward, Yacob walked up to the bedside and gazed at Elias, who was covered in injuries. He sighed in resignation. “Elias, I know what’s on your mind and what you want to do. So now, I’m stepping in to take care of things on your behalf. I hope I can come back, and when I do, I hope you’ll be awake.”
He stood by the bedside and looked at Elias for a long time…

He chuckled. He didn’t ever expect Amanda to be so bold, daring enough to lay hands on Elizabeth. It was true when they mentioned that those who knew nothing would fear nothing.
“Where is Amanda?”
“Miss Bailey should be sitting in the garden now, and Mr. Aiden is playing there too.”
Symeon nodded and walked toward the garden.
Although no one dared to say it out loud, the butler could tell that his master’s attitude towards this woman was somewhat different. Perhaps it was because of the child’s existence, or maybe he had other feelings for her.
In the garden. Symeon spotted Amanda sitting comfortably under a parasol, savoring her coffee. On the other hand, the little guy was squatting while digging the garden soil, getting dirty with mud all over his clothes, like a little mud monkey.

As Amanda watched Aiden playing gleefully in the distance, she was lost in thought. How could we escape from this place?

Symeon furrowed his brows slightly. He realized that this woman seemed to have a deep misunderstanding of him.
“What makes you think I will definitely stand on Elizabeth’s side?”
Amanda sneered, her voice unwavering. “Just because she is your fiancée.”
Symeon suddenly had nothing to say. Even if Elizabeth was his fiancée, it didn’t necessarily mean he would stand on her side because he had no feelings for her.
He lounged in the chair and followed her gaze, looking at the cheerful little guy playing in the distance.
Then, he slowly spoke, “If you were slapped, it’s only fair to slap back. Besides, I won’t interfere in this matter because it’s between you two women.”

“Then, play with me, Mommy!” He playfully chased after her everywhere, giggling happily as he saw her scared and hiding everywhere.
