Chapter 38 Grace Has Learned of the Child
Amanda was most worried about Aiden.
It was night now, and this was the time when the boy would stick to her, pestering her to coax him to sleep.
She couldn’t help but wonder if he was crying about wanting her…
After Grace left the charity dinner, she went about different ways to inquire about Amanda’s current address.
She wanted to know the reason Elias went to see Amanda.
After spending an hour making calls, she finally got Amanda’s address. Grace didn’t waste another second as she drove her car at top speed to the housing area.
When she got there, she stormed into the elevator while barely holding her anger in.
Her head was filled with fantasies about what she would see later. Would she see Amanda bugging Elias, preventing him from leaving? Or would the two be having a romantic dinner together?
Everything she imagined made her so angry she could explode.

The elevator doors finally opened upon arrival at Amanda’s floor.
Right then, Helean and Aiden were standing outside the door, waiting for Amanda’s return.
“Why isn’t Mommy home yet? She is not even picking up our calls. Did something happen to her?” the child muttered with a worried look on his face. He might bicker with Amanda a lot, but there was no doubt that his love for his mother ran deep.
Helean also thought it was odd how his calls to Amanda’s phone would go through, although they would end up unanswered.

Grace walked in their direction. She noticed the adult and child standing together at a glance.
Helean, who seldom paid attention to the entertainment industry, didn’t recognize Grace even though she was a celebrity.
Grace went past them and pressed the doorbell. To her surprise, a fierce but adorable voice called out to her from behind. “Why are you pressing our doorbell? Do you need Mommy for something?”
“Who are you?” Helean then explained, “Amanda is not home.”
Hearing that, Grace turned to them in shock and repeated, “Mommy? Amanda is your mother?!”
The boy huffed. “So what if she is? It’s none of your business. Now tell us why you are looking for Mommy!”
Aiden had a feeling that this was an evil woman who was here to give his mother a hard time.
Helean, on the other hand, had a blank look on his face. He had no idea what was going on.
Grace’s mind went blank when she stared at the child in front of her. For some reason, she thought he looked familiar.
I think I have seen him before!
Realization suddenly dawned on her.

She immediately grabbed him by the shoulders and carefully observed his small face.
Grace’s face fell and by the time she spoke again, her whole face was completely white as if she had seen a ghost. She muttered to herself, “No… No, how is this possible…
He looks like Elias the more I stare at him!
She then had a scary thought.
Is this child… Elias?
Just the thought of the possibility made Grace tremble all over. Even her grip on the boy got tighter.
The boy frowned from the pain. “Let go of me, you witch! It hurts!”
Seeing this, Helean hurried forward and pushed Grace away before picking the boy up. are you sick in the head? Why are you bullying a child?”

He immediately turned around and left with Aiden in his arms after throwing that out.
Since he didn’t know how much longer he would have to wait before he got in contact with Amanda, he decided it would be better to bring Aiden back home with him for now.
Grace was left to dazedly stand in the same spot for some time.

The kidnapper promptly pulled her up from the floor. He wanted to move her to a different location before demanding another sum from Elias.

Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
