Chapter 363 A Young Man
When Elias saw how shocked the man looked, he knew that Raymond was swayed.
“Do you
think it’s worth taking the fall for that person? You’re not so naive as to think that you’ll get out of jail sooner or later, are you? If that person can’t even save himself, how is he going to get you out of here?”
Sure enough, Raymond sported a conflicted expression. His mind was a mess, and he didn’t know what to do.
“I’ll give you some time to ponder. Once you’ve decided, contact us through the prison officers.”
With that, Elias turned around and left the visiting room. Amanda also departed after taking a look at Raymond’s conflicted expression.
Meanwhile, Yacob stepped forward and snatched his own phone.
Raymond asked anxiously, “How’s my wife now?!”
“Are you as blind as you are a fool? Mr. Winters hasn’t even made a move yet. I only went to the hospital to take photos of your wife and saw her there all alone. The person who has made you a scapegoat hasn’t even hired a caretaker for her. Although I have nothing to do with the two of you, I still feel sorry for her.”
Yacob tutted and kept his phone in his pocket. He was ready to leave, knowing that Raymond wouldn’t reveal anything for the time being.
“That’s impossible! You doctored the video somehow! You’ve deliberately set things up before showing that to me!” Raymond refused to believe them as he didn’t think Crispin would lie to him.
When Yacob saw how agitated the man was, he said with a smile, “Ah, I see that there’s some fight left in you. As for whether it’s true… Why don’t you think things through yourself? Besides, you should be fully aware that only you can get yourself out of this mess. No one else can save you.”
With that, he stepped out of the visiting room as well.
Raymond felt his sanity snapping as he bawled his eyes out. Yet, he still refused to reveal anything.
Meanwhile, outside the prison, Elias was leaning against his car as he took a long drag out of

his cigarette.
“So, you asked Yacob to go to the hospital just for that. Are you sure you can make Raymond expose the culprit by doing so?” Amanda crossed her arms, appearing doubtful.
He merely allowed the smoke to pass from his lips before he said slowly, “You saw his reaction, didn’t you? At the very least, he was finally willing to speak. Moreover, judging from his reaction, I can tell he understands that the person he is taking the blame for is no match. for me. He’s definitely swayed.”
“Are we going to wait for him to contact that person, then? Unfortunately for him, I’m sure that person won’t come,” Amanda said firmly.
Just then, Yacob came over and reported, “Raymond still refuses to say anything, Mr. Winters. However, I can tell that he’s agitated.”
“Keep an eye on both places. You’ll be keeping guard at the hospital for the next few days. If somebody wants to transfer Raymond’s wife to another hospital, capture and interrogate them,” Elias ordered sternly.
“B-But! What about my bed?! I have a perfectly good bed at home!” Yacob lamented. He had just gotten a good and comfortable night’s sleep the day before, but he had to pull an all- nighter again?!
Elias shot him a glare. “And? Do you have a problem with that?”
“No, sir. I’ll never dare to disobey your orders!” Yacob immediately opened the door and motioned for the man to get into the car.
After Elias entered the vehicle, Amanda glanced at Yacob and said with a smile, “Chin up. You’re bringing justice to the victims. It’s incredible.”
“Thanks for your compliment, Miss Bailey.” Yacob forced himself to smile as he whined inwardly, If this is so commendable, why don’t the two of you do it?
Yacob arrived at the hospital with a great yawn. When he saw the unconscious woman in the room, he genuinely felt sorry for her.
He went to the front desk and asked the nurse, “What’s going on with the patient on bed no. 14? A few days have passed, but her family members haven’t visited her yet.”
“I have no idea. Several days ago, a young man came over and asked about transferring her to another hospital. I guess he’s still going through the procedures,” the nurse replied.
Yacob asked, “Who was the young man?”

“I don’t know. Perhaps it’s her son. He looks really young.”
A young man? That rules Raymond out since he’s in jail. The two of them don’t have a child, so it’s not their son either. Could it be the person Raymond is taking the fall for?
“Do you
remember what the person looks like?” Yacob was curious about the person who had the guts to do such a thing and push the blame onto Elias.
The nurse shook her head. “I don’t remember. As you know, I see many people every day. Anyway, I recall him being young and well-mannered.”
A well-mannered young man?
Yacob’s mind instinctively ran through a list of Elias’ enemies but couldn’t find anyone who matched those qualities.
Who could the person be? Anyway, I suppose he’ll show up at any moment. He has to transfer Raymond’s wife to another hospital, after all.
So, he returned to the ward and sat down outside. He figured he might as well wait for the person to show
Meanwhile, Crispin, who was ready to transfer Raymond’s wife to another hospital, stepped out of the elevator and saw Yacob seated outside the ward.
He quickly moved backward and rounded a corner to hide himself. There was a hint of anxiety flickering in his eyes.
Isn’t he Elias’ bodyguard? Why is he here? Have they found me out?
Truthfully, Crispin could already tell that Elias doubted Raymond’s statement, but he didn’t expect they would come to the hospital so soon.
If Raymond’s wife fell into their hands, the man would certainly expose Crispin. Nonetheless, given the current situation, it wasn’t like Crispin could transfer the woman to another hospital.
What should I do?
Crispin fell into a dilemma. He was about to marry Stephanie, so he couldn’t possibly allow anything to derail his plan.
Since Elias just wouldn’t let him off, Crispin had no choice but to resort to the last move. That way, he could make Raymond keep the secret while also becoming part of the Allegras.

In the evening, Yacob had the urge to take a nap, for he hadn’t had any proper rest for the past few days. He had been waiting for the entire afternoon, but no one was seen visiting Raymond’s wife.
Just then, a mask-wearing doctor arrived and was ready to enter the ward with an instrument trolley.
Yacob said languidly, ‘Wait a minute. What are you doing?”
“I’m going to take the patient’s blood pressure measurements.”
Yacob took a look at the unconscious woman and inquired sharply, “Is there even such a need? Why don’t you transfer her to the ICU immediately?”
“That requires the attending physician’s permission. I’m only his understudy.”
“Go on.” Yacob decided there was no point asking further questions.
The doctor then pushed the trolley into the ward and closed the door.
In actuality, Crispin had disguised himself as the doctor. He walked up to the bed and looked at the unconscious woman, who was the only person Raymond was concerned about. If he could control the woman, he could definitely make Raymond take the rap for him and admit to the wrongdoing.
However, if the woman fell into Elias’ hands, Crispin would be doomed. Therefore, he would only be at ease once he had eliminated the woman.
He fished out the syringe he had prepared in advance and took a look at the door before injecting the liquid into the woman.
Once he was done, he left the ward with the trolley.
Yacob watched as Crispin walked away, oblivious to what had happened. He had been exhausted as of late, so he wasn’t as vigilant as usual. Besides, he wasn’t familiar with Crispin.
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
