Chapter 356 Thank You for Still Being Willing to Love Me
Elias was about to speak, but Amanda continued, “No indecent questions. I won’t answer them.”
that, Elias chuckled under his breath. “What indecent questions do you think I’d ask? What do you keep in that little head of yours, Bailey?”
Oh, am I in the wrong now? Would I have gotten such ideas if you never behaved so shamelessly?!
“Cut the crap and get to asking. I don’t have time to waste with you here,” said Amanda, becoming impatient.
However, Elias’ smile grew increasingly intense as he propped his hands on both sides of the couch, trapping the young woman within his embrace. His dark eyes turned serious as he asked solemnly, “Tell me, after four years of absence, do you still have feelings for me?”
“Does it even matter anymore? Can’t you ask something more substantial?”
“Answer me. I want to know!” Elias pressed on, his fathomless eyes fixed on her.
At that, Amanda turned her head away and replied, “No. I have no feelings whatsoever, only resentment for your heartlessness four years ago.”
However, Elias chuckled and continued, “Since you’ve returned, I’ve slept with you many times against your will and succeeded every time. Do you not feel anything? If you didn’t, I wouldn’t have succeeded so easily.”
“So? It’s just a normal physiological response.”
“No.” Elias purposely leaned closer, looking at her delicate face. “You feel something, deeply. You just don’t want to admit it.”
“If meaningless questions are all you want to ask, keep them to yourself. I don’t want to answer any of it.” It wasn’t that Amanda didn’t want to answer the questions but that she couldn’t face her heart, let alone speak the truth.
“Answer me, Amanda. Do you still love me?” Elias asked while drawing her chin toward his face.
He knew Amanda loved him deeply in the past, but now, he wasn’t sure anymore.
Amanda, while staring at his raven-black eyes, was just about to deny it when Elias warned. sternly and said, “Think twice before answering. I want the truth. Don’t forget that you’re still strapped to the lie detector.”

His words stunned Amanda, and she gazed dazedly at the man before him, hesitating to
answer.
After what felt like an eternity, Elias spoke softly. “I just want an answer. Why won’t me? I know I was wrong all those years, terribly wrong. However, I have nothing left to ask you tell for now. I haven’t forced you to remarry me, and I haven’t forcefully taken back custody of our son. You should know that if I wanted to, I could do all of that, but I haven’t. I just want to know one thing, and you are reluctant to even answer that!”
Amanda’s heart started racing, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead. She was getting nervous.
Seeing her nervousness, Elias unexpectedly felt relieved.
After struggling internally for a while, Amanda hesitated and finally lifted her gaze to meet his eyes. “I guess… I do.”
This time, it was Elias who was stunned. He thought he had misheard her, so he chuckled. lightly and turned to the lie detector. The data analysis on it showed that Amanda wasn’t lying.
It was true that Amanda still had feelings for him, but she was forcibly restraining herself, not wanting to expose her love for him.
Amanda sighed softly, peeled off the adhesive patches on her body, buttoned then looked at the towering figure helplessly. “Are you happy now?”

Elias was surprised by the results he got. He didn’t expect Amanda to have feelings for him. still.
Tears began pooling in Elias’ eyes, and it surprised Amanda when she inadvertently gazed at him. Are those… tears? She thought she might be mistaken.
“Are you crying?” Amanda approached him. She appeared so delicate and petite in front of him.
Elias turned around and held her tightly in his arms as if to shove her into his heart. It could also be understood as a display of emotional excitement.
Amanda was taken aback for a moment before she slowly raised her arms, hugging the man’s back.
“Thank you.”
“Sorry?” She was momentarily puzzled. Is he thanking me? What for?
Elias rested his chin on her neck, inhaling the faint fragrance that was uniquely hers. His

There was even a sense of gratitude in his tone.
Amanda stood still, allowing the man to hold her, feeling his warm breath spraying on her neck, tickling but also giving her a sense of security.
Before she knew it, tears streamed down her cheeks. She wasn’t sure why she was crying either.
“Elias…”
“Yeah?”
“Does it make you that happy to know that I still love you? I loved you even more four ago, but
you were never even willing to spare me a glance.”

Thinking about her past self made her heart ache, and she couldn’t bring herself to open her heart again to accept this man. She was afraid of repeating the same mistakes. Even when Elias treated her wonderfully now, she still hesitated.
Perhaps the wounds were too deep, and she was so afraid now that she didn’t want to open her heart again.
Elias tightened his arms around her and said, “I was a complete jack*ss before. People are like this, unable to see what they truly need. I understand now, but it’s too late. I know you won’t forgive me, but as long as I know you still love me, that’s enough. You can live however you. want for the rest of your life, and I won’t force you to do anything.
Even if Amanda didn’t want to remarry, didn’t want to be with him, and didn’t want to give their child back to him, he would accept it all since he deserved it. He would protect this mother and child for the rest of his life and make sure they were taken care of.
All of a sudden, Amanda didn’t know what to say…
Meanwhile, upstairs, Stephanie threw things around her room in a frenzy, her entire being in
a manic state.
“How can it not be him?! How could he not be lying… No, it’s impossible…”
“Stephanie, don’t be like this…” Crispin stepped forward and hugged her to prevent her from hurting herself by throwing things. The floor was already filled with shattered pieces.

Crispin thought that with time, this matter would eventually pass. After all, he was the man she was with that night, so he didn’t care about it at all. However, it seemed that Stephanie was having difficulty getting over it.
“I mind!” Stephanie roared. “I’m the daughter of the prestigious Allegra Family! How could I be casually defiled by a random, sleazy man I don’t even know?!”
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
