He then leaned backward, even lighting a cigarette and starting to smoke. Crispin had never dared smoke in front of Stephanie to give her the impression that he had excellent morals, and it was clear that she had always treated him that way. Had Elias not shown up, she would have remained devoted to Crispin but sadly, she now fancied Elias. However, Crispin had to become the Allegras’ son-in-law, so she could only be his wife.

The doorbell suddenly rang.
Stephanie had arrived, which made Crispin perk up at once. He stubbed the cigarette in the ashtray and closed the curtains with a remote before heading toward the foyer.

The doorbell kept ringing as if she was panicking already.
Crispin eyed the switch on the wall and immediately switched off all the lights in the room, making his surroundings pitch black. After that, he slowly opened the door but hid behind it.
Meanwhile, Stephanie was confused when the door opened. What is going on? Why didn’t he switch on the light? It is completely dark!
“Elias, what are you doing here? Why haven’t you switched on the lights? You-” Before she could finish, she was dragged abruptly inside by a man’s arm before the door closed quickly.
“Help! What do you want?”
She was pushed against the wall and could sense clearly that the man’s body was moving closer. She thought that it was Elias, and she somehow blushed involuntarily even if it wasn’t visible in the room.
“W-What do you want to do to me?” Her voice shook.
In the next moment, Crispin lowered his head and kissed her forcefully and deeply.
“Mmph! What are you doing?” Stephanie attempted to struggle but somehow welcomed it after remembering that it was Elias. Her mind was blank. Is it Elias who is forcefully kissing me? Goodness! It is amazing yet exciting!
However, she didn’t know that it was Crispin, the man whom she had loved so entirely before, who was doing these things.
“W-Why are you treating me like this?” She was shy and embarrassed, not even daring to

Crispin replied hoarsely, “Don’t you want it?”
He then kissed her again, but Stephanie felt that the voice sounded strange. Does Elias sound like that? However, she soon lost all rationality and let herself go.
As for Crispin, the reason he dared to do this was because Elias was attending a banquet in the hotel.
At that very moment, Elias was chatting with famous figures from different circles. He hadn’t planned on coming that night but had heard that Amanda would be there, so he attended the occasion as well. However, he didn’t see her at all, which disappointed him.
He went to the balcony alone and called Amanda, but he gave up when she didn’t pick up after a long while. He soon left the banquet; he might as well go home and rest rather than remain bored there. After all, he hadn’t slept much recently since he had been so busy that he didn’t have time to eat.
He then drove back to Galaxy Bay, intending to get a good night’s sleep before going to the Allegra Villa to see his son and Amanda. He had been away from them for several days, yet he missed them so much that he was losing sleep.
The following morning, Crispin was nowhere to be seen in room 5022 of Cloudview Hotel, leaving Stephanie dozing on the bed until she was awoken by the doorbell. She rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up, finding herself lying on the hotel bed as the doorbell continued. ringing.
Without thinking of recalling what happened the night before, she quickly got up and opened the door, carefully hiding behind it.
The waiter brought breakfast and smiled when the door opened. “Hello, this is your breakfast. One Mr. Winters ordered for you.”

“Okay, you don’t have to come in. Just push the trolley inside.”
Stephanie was still undressed, so of course she couldn’t let anyone in.

Amanda had slept in for a while since she had worked late into the night. She checked the time when she woke up, planning to go back to sleep. However, she then heard a commotion downstairs.

She got up and put on her dressing gown before tidying herself up in the bathroom. After changing into her usual outfit for home, she left the room.
The commotion became louder as soon as she left the room, but she couldn’t hear what the argument was about. It seemed to be Jack and Stephanie arguing while Edith was trying to pacify them.
“Why won’t you believe what I say? Do I look like a liar?” Stephanie shouted at her frustration lining her tone.

Amanda listened to the argument as she headed downstairs, not knowing what everyone was arguing about since she couldn’t understand it.
Jack was extremely furious and scolded Stephanie, “Shut up and stop talking! Don’t let your sister hear anything! Why are you acting like this? Besides, Elias is not that kind of person. You shouldn’t act so out of turn!”

She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down. Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters' reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a sexy woman. Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink. That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
