A notification sounded after that. Jack had shared Stephanie’s location with Elias, and the latter chucked his phone to the front passenger seat after taking an inpatient gander.

Seeing such a world-class luxury car in a place like this was unimaginable, and the dirty streets seemed to taint its noble temperament.

The people around even gave Elias strange looks when he stepped out of his car. They wondered why a mysterious big shot would appear in such a place, for he didn’t fit in at all.

“I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if one of us knows a big shot like him. That car looks super expensive…”

“If I’m not mistaken, that car is worth about a billion. It’s even a limited edition worldwide make. What’s going on? What is a super rich doing in our slum?”

“Tell me about it. Do you think he has a crush on a girl here?”

“What age do you think we live in? How can you still believe in those fairy tales? Real princes won’t fall for dirty wenches but real princesses.”

Elias ignored the gossip and walked toward the dark alley.

As soon as he entered the narrow alley, a foul smell from the sewer hit him, and he instinctively covered his nose, frowning in displeasure.

Following the house numbers one after another, he finally found number 343, which was where the slumdog lived according to Jack.

The rusty door had no doorbell, so Elias knocked on it twice, but there was no response from the inside.

With that, he knocked on the door again, and this time, a man’s voice came from inside. “Who is it?”

Elias didn’t answer. Instead, he continued knocking on the door.

Then, he heard hurried footsteps from inside, and the door opened. It was a seemingly handsome young man dressed in a short-sleeved t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops, looking very down-to-earth.

“Who are you?” he asked.

Elias looked at the young man before him with nothing but disdain. Is this the so-called ‘Crisp’ Stephanie keeps talking about? Huh… He looks so calculating. No wonder Jack, that old for, adamantly opposes their relationship. If Stephanie’s my daughter, I wouldn’t approve of him either!

“Hey, who are you? I’m asking you a question here. How do you know I’m living here? Who are you looking for? Crispin asked with a puzzled expression.

However, Elias didn’t waste time talking to him but instead walked straight into the house.

As he entered the house, disgust became more apparent on his face. He couldn’t believe someone could live in a two-hundred-square-foot house!

There was a tiny bathroom that he couldn’t even fit into, a hardboard bed, and mosquitoes buzzing everywhere. He had only been standing there for a minute, but he felt several mosquitoes whizzing past

Suddenly, the bathroom door opened, and Stephanie emerged while wearing a seductive nightgown and sexy makeup.

He suddenly remembered what Jack had told him on the phone, that Stephanie planned to elope and offer herself tonight.

Stephanie stood staring at him for a few seconds in stupefaction, then screamed, “Ah, Elias, you sicko!”

She quickly covered her upper body with both arms and rushed to the bed, pulling up the blanket to cover herself.

Crispin finally came around and remembered Elias had barged in. He approached the latter, grabbing his arm while threatening. “Who do you think you are, breaking into my house? Get out!”

Lo and behold, Crispin dropped to the ground after Elias simply flung his arm.

Elias couldn’t be bothered with this couple. He covered his nose and looked at Stephanie, who was huddled in the bed. “Are you offering yourself? I’ll give you half an hour, then. But looking at how weak he is, half an hour is already generous. Go home with me after you’re done. Your father insists that I take you home. Hurry up, time waits for no one.”

With that, Elias turned to leave.

Half an hour?! That was an absolute insult. Any man would find it unbearable.

Crispin clambered up from the floor and grabbed Elias by the collar. “What did you say?! Watch your mouth!”

Has disdamfully pushed Crispin’s hand away and spoke coldly. “Take your dirty hands off me. I’m already. being generous by giving you half an hour. A guy your condition will only last ten minutes at most. Hurry up. I’m not that idle.” With that, he turned to the door.

On the other hand, Stephanie’s face was flushed, feeling furious. She threw the blanket covering her aside. and shouted angrily at the man’s back, “Elias Winters, you madman! Get lost! Who gave you the right to control me?! Just because my father asked you to take me home doesn’t mean that you actually have to listen to him! Why are you being so obedient to him anyway?”

The PRESIDENT sneered and replied without turning his head around, saying, “I naturally have my

reasons.

Otherwise, why would he behave like Jack’s lapdog?!

“Stephanie Allegra, I’m giving you only half an hour. I be waiting outside. If you don’t come out by then, don’t blame me for being impolite. Also, forget about running away or cloping. Don’t you know your father’s methods? Do you think you can escape from his grasp? How naive.”

With that, Elias Winters left the janky rental house without looking back. He didn’t want to stay for even a second longer.
