The look on Wendy’s face was beyond words. “Even if we go to court, each of your contracts needs to be resolved after the case. Jumping the gun and signing with other companies is ridiculous, you guys are dreaming big”
Dona rubbed her swollen face, gave a laugh, and asked, “How about this then?”
Wendy glanced at the smartphone in her hand and immediately scowled. Dona descended the steps, approached the reporters, and played an audio file. The conversation in the file was from yesterday’s meeting in Wendy’s office.
“Do you think jumping ship to Starlight International will solve anything. Do you think the Alonso family will just let you go?
“Everyone says Chloe is smart. Do you think she hasn’t thought about how the Alonso family will suppress you after you switch over to her? She’s just using you to get back at me. You trust her so much before even starting to collaborate, why don’t you try canceling your contracts and see if she can protect you?”
The speaker was undoubtedly Wendy. The reporters heard it loud and clear, leaving their faces full of surprise. Wendy was completely dumbfounded, and still not comprehending why Dona would reveal all this. Chloe chuckled softly on the side.
Dona put away her phone, glanced at the promotional leaflet of a magazine on the side, picked up her phone, clicked a few buttons, and then put it away.
Tve sent the recording to your magazine’s email. How you plan to report it is up to you!”
A reporter skeptically checked his inbox and found a new submission. He was buzzing with excitement. Covering news about the Alonso family was risky, but the situation had escalated. The Alonso heiress was causing a scene in front of Starlight International, and the recording had been played in front of so many reporters. If he didn’t report it other magazines would, and some might’ve already been live streaming the situation. So, he was definitely going to report it.
Dona walked over to Chloe and stared at Wendy. “Ms. Alonso, let me give you a piece of advice, you really shouldn’t underestimate anyone. Even someone like me might not be as good as you, but I have a lot of talented artists under me. As for industry rules or legal issues, I might understand them better than you. If the company breaks the contract first and the artists sue, even the Alonso family has excellent lawyers and great power, with so many people paying attention, I don’t believe the court’s ruling will be unfair.
“As for that recording, I just wanted the artists to leave the company smoothly. I didn’t expect Ms. Summers to give us confidence. I thought since I had cooperated with the company for so long, I wouldn’t want to disclose the recording, but your behavior completely wiped out my patience!
“Since you say I’m instigating the company’s artists to leave, I’ll sue you for ‘abuse of power, Intimidation, and threats‘! After all, with all the lawsuits you have, one more from me won’t make a difference.”
Wendy only realized the purpose of the recording after hearing Dona’s reminder.
Abuse of power, intimidation, threats… As if realizing something, Wendy’s face turned extremely pale, and she started to sway.
Chloe stood on the side, watching Wendy in disarray, then slowly turned, and left. Seeing this, Dona and the others also followed Chloe.
“Ms. Summers, can we continue contract discussions?”
Chloe took out her phone. “No need. Come find me once your contracts with Infinity Media are fully resolved.”
The group stopped in front of the elevator, and Dona didn’t follow them in. It was clear the situation was nearing its end.
The elevator doors opened, Chloe stepped in, and her phone call connected at the same time.
“Hello, there might be a wave of public opinion soon that could help you. Seize the moment.”
Yasmine was on her way to a welfare institution when she received Chloe’s call. “What kind of public opinion?”

Yasmine paused and smiled faintly. “I see. Do you need me to steer public opinion?”
Chloe chuckled. “Not at all. She has no way to salvage this situation.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure.”
Yasmine nodded. “Alright, I’ll arrange to meet with Alonso’s partners right away.”
“Good.”
After hanging up, the smile on Chloe’s face disappeared.
Within twenty minutes, the incident at Starlight International’s entrance became hot news.
“Oh my God! Has Wendy gone crazy?! She actually slapped Dona in front of everyone?!”
“Picking a fight at someone else’s company, she’s really lost it. She can’t fight her own battles and now she’s using the entire Alonso family as a shield, thinking she’s invincible with their backing!”
“I was waiting for the outcome yesterday, but this brat used the Alonso family to oppress the company’s artists!”
“Good on Dona for suing her. With that recording, the charge of abuse of power, intimidation, and threats will definitely stick! Let’s see how Infinity Media can turn this around now?!”
“Saw a good company destroyed by her, my life is a roller coaster…”
“The point is, it’s one thing if she messes up on her own, but she even dragged the Alonso family into this mess! Now everyone is waiting to see what kind of move the powerful Alonso family will make?”
