Chapter 267
Jackson chatted casually with Harper for a while. When they talked about Taya, his face slowly
darkened.
“Taya and Griffon weren’t actually a couple. It was just a contract between them. But it’s true that she fell in love with him. If it it weren’t for him, she might not have recovered from what happened after she was kicked in the chest and after she was turned away from Wolverly Capital.”
Harper didn’t hide it from Jackson and told him the truth. There was no point in hiding anything.
Plus, everything had changed because of him. Taya had fallen in love with Griffon because she wanted to forget him.
Jackson couldn’t describe how he was feeling at the moment, but the hole in his heart was getting bigger, as if it was devouring him little by little.
“If you miss her once, you’ll miss her for the rest of your life. Let her go early…
After saying that, Harper pushed the door open and got out of the car.
Jackson fell back into the car seat and closed his eyes, trying to settle his wolf down.
The pack guard received a call from Wolverly Capital
and hurried forward to knock on the window.
“Alpha Sterling, your father is calling.”
Jackson indifferently took the phone from the bodyguard.
Old Alpha Sterling’s aged and weak voice came from the other end of the line. “Jackson, it’s time to return to Wolverly Capital.”
Jackson didn’t reply. He just looked out of the car at Taya’s house.
It was because of the Sterling pack, his family, that
he had lost Taya.
Back then, Jackson blamed Taya for selling herself and had a big fight with her, which made Taya so angry that she ran away. Then, the Sterling pack
found him.
Jackson’s brother didn’t come at that time. It was another packmate who came. Jackson wasn’t willing to go with him, so he tied Jackson up and brought
him back.
His only option was to jump out of the car. And even after all that, nothing changed. He was still taken
away.
And then he lost his.
Jackson’s brother told him that they were twins. When they were born, there were some changes in the
family.
