Chapter 273
Everyone was shocked. They couldn’t believe that the goddess in Keen’s heart was the newcomer, Astrid.
“Astrid, I’ve finally met you.” Keen turned into a fanboy in a split second. “Astrid, I have a small request. Can you give me an autograph?”
Astrid: “Keen, can you act normal for once?”
Keen: “I’m too excited seeing you, can’t keep my cool.”
Astrid gave Keen, who was acting weird, a knock on his head. “Are you sober now?”
Everyone was shocked again.
Keen, the internationally renowned medical doctor known for being a pain in the ass to deal with, was actually hit by Astrid…
And he was still grinning like an idiot after being hit.
Just like a complete goofball.
“Mama, I made it, my goddess hit me!” Keen screamed excitedly. Astrid was ready to knock him again.
Ray quickly intervened, “Astrid, Dr. Banfield’s adoration for you has reached its peak, please give him an autograph.”
“Fine, I’ll sign.” Astrid agreed. Ray immediately went in to get a pen, then Astrid grabbed Keen’s arm and signed.
She knew Keen from her medical school days, back when he was still normal.
Keen: “I won’t wash my hands for days, hehehe…”
Astrid: “Oh, and treat Roberson for me, free of charge. I’m tired, I’m leaving first.
Being friends with these big shots from the entertainment industry did no harm to her. Besides, treating him was no big deal.
Keen: “Astrid, since you’ve already asked, I definitely won’t charge. Roberson, come over here!”
“I’m coming.” Roberson quickly walked over, thanked Astrid and then she waved him off, “It’s nothing, I’m leaving now.”
A few others also wanted to see Keen for medical advice, and he agreed all because of Astrid.
The rest of the people returned to the dinner table, those who hadn’t spoken to Astrid before quickly came over to toast her.
After all, Astrid could easily command a big shot like Keen, she couldn’t possibly be ordinary.
Tania returned to the dinner table, feeling embarrassed about earlier, “Astrid, I never thought you knew someone like Dr. Banfield, why didn’t you say so earlier? You made me look foolish.”
Astrid noticed her drink had been swapped for Tania’s. She pretended not to notice and picked up the glass, “I do know him, but I didn’t know he thought, of me as his goddess. I did make you look foolish, so let this drink be my apology.”
To avoid any mix–ups, Tania had marked the tainted glass. Seeing Astrid’s glass, Tania: “Well, it’s not really your fault…”
Before Tania could finish, Astrid had already downed her drink.
Seeing this, Tania was secretly overjoyed and also finished her drink.
A while later, Tania texted Queenie: “I’ve set it up. She’s had the spiked drink. But are you sure your drug works? She seems fine, I’m worried. What if it doesn’t kick in before the party ends? Then I’ve done all this for nothing.”
Queenie replied: “Don’t worry, my drug definitely works, it just takes some time. I’ll handle the rest, trust me. By tomorrow, the headlines will be about Astrid leaving the entertainment industry.”
Tania replied: “I hope so.”
Soon, Tania started feeling dizzy, she put down her glass to eat something.
She accidently found a small red dot on her glass!!
How was this going? Wasn’t this supposed to be Astrid’s glass?
Tania quickly checked the glasses and found no red dot on Astrid’s glass!
The glasses were switched!
When did this happen?
Thinking about how long she’d been drinking from the spiked glass, Tania felt paralyzed like she’d been struck by lightning!
