Kerri asked in a hurry, “Was it Sprague who was taken or another child?”
“It was another child.” Devin said, panting heavily.
Agnes and Kerri felt a heavy blow at the same time.
It was Nocturne.
Nocturne was taken by Brayden’s people.
“Devin, don’t call the cops yet. I’ll handle this, and don’t spread this around the hospital either.” Kerri told Devin.
No one in the hospital knew about Kerri’s relationship with Brayden.

This time, Brayden’s target was likely Sprague as well.
But unexpectedly, Sprague was in the bathroom at the time.
So Brayden’s people took another patient’s child, mistaking him for Kerri’s child.

“I got it, Kerri.” Devin said.
After Devin left, Kerri hurriedly said, “Agnes, don’t worry. It’s Brayden who took the child. He thought it was Sprague. I’ll call him right now and ask him to return the child.”
Agnes looked a bit upset, “Is Brayden in the Capital now?”
Kerri nodded.
“Jared is there too.” Agnes voiced her concern.
