She never saw it coming, that Jared would turn into such a wild card after four years
Deep down, Agnes knew that Jared was merely trying to embarrass her.

Agnes held it in, then looked up at Jared with a smile, “Mr. Whitfield, I’m sorry, but I’ve got a boyfriend already.”
Jared’s eyes turned dark, his gaze cold and intimidating.
His previous words were just a tést.
He wanted to know what’s the deal between Agnes and the guy he bumped into at the airport.

What was even weirder was that Leo couldn’t find anything on that guy.

Jared even started to wonder, all these years, he got zero intellon Agnes, could it be this guy was obstructing him?

It was almost unbearable.
Jafed glared coldly at Agnes, “I don’t care, Agnes. You owe me, and you’re gonna pay me back, in your own way. As for the rest, I really don’t give a damn.”
He was lying through his teeth when he said he didn’t care.
But right now, he needed to keep Agnes close.
He couldn’t let her slip away from him again.
As for the men by her side, he was going to take them out one by one.
Agnes, you’re not going anywhere for the rest of your life.
Even if it meant they’d be torturing each other in hell for the rest of their days, Jared would never let her go!
Agnes‘ smile broadened, “Mr. Whitfield, you may not care, but I do. I won’t do anything to betray my boyfriend.”
“Agnes, I forbid you from having a boyfriend!”

Agnes retorted sarcastically, “Mr. Whitfield, we’re divorced, remember? You’re really overstepping your bounds. I’m still young, what’s wrong with having a boyfriend? I’m going to get married and have kids someday. As for my future plans, you really don’t need to worry about them.”
Agnes‘ tone was calm and nonchalant.
But her words stirred up a storm in Jared’s heart.
How could she be so casual about it, how could she let go so completely.
The thing that he’d been holding onto so tightly for the past four years, she’d discarded it a long time ago.
Jared couldn’t imagine Agnes as a married woman, couldn’t picture her being intimate with another man, couldn’t imagine her whispering sweet nothings to another man in bed, lovingly calling him “honey“.

Jared just stared quietly at Agnes.
If looks could kill, Jared would’ve sliced and diced Agnes into a million pieces by now.
The frequency of updates and the volumn in the updates need to increase. I just don’t understand why you won’t publish the whole book at once instead of aggravating the piss out of everyone.
