These past few days, he’d wasted so much time just for that one accidental glance. 

He’d been putting off a lot of stuff. 

His mind seemed to be wandering elsewhere. 

Every day, he waited at that intersection, hoping that she might pass by there again. 

Maybe that’s her usual route. 

Every day, he watched countless cars pass back and forth. 

But Jared never saw that familiar face again. 

For four years, that glimmer of hope in Jared’s heart gradually drowned in disappointment and frustration. 

Maybe that person wasn’t Agnes at all, just someone who looked like her, or maybe he was mistaken. 

Jared felt a headache coming on. 

“Book me a flight, I’m heading back tomorrow.” 

Leo was surprised, but in the end, he only said, “Alright.” 

Ever since he saw that profile, Jared felt like every cell in his body was in turmoil. 

All those suppressed emotions burst out all at once.

Jared had had enough. 

But he couldn’t shake off these emotions. 

It was the only thing in his life he couldn’t control. 

He’s been on the edge of breaking down, the worst times felt hke his entire body was scalded by hot oil, being drained of all moisture, tough as iron on the outside but rotting inside 

Even the slightest touch could shatter his heart. 

During those increasingly desperate days, Jared didn’t know how he got through. 

Maybe he didn’t get through at all. 

He’s just used to the pain now. 

Jared’s fingers clenched tighter. 

Agnes, you better hope I don’t find you, or I won’t let you off! 

Agnes seemed to have caught a cold.. 

She kept sneezing while packing her luggage in the evening 

Kearney came over tonight, he’s in the kitchen making beef burgers. 

Albert’s hobby was opening fast food restaurants. 

He’s opened many fast food restaurants across the country. 

But these fast food restaurants were usually closed 

He never asked for help.

After Kearney made dinner for three, he first called Nate, then went to Agnes’s room

Kearney walked over and asked, “Done packing? If you’re done, I can help you move your luggage to my car later, I’ll pick you up tomorrow murning”
