Beatrice was so tense on the side, her hands clenching into fists.

But she hated Agnes even more. 

She had clearly told Agnes that Alyssa was the one who killed her mother.

Agnes still had some savings in her bank account. 

So she didn’t need to rely on Jared financially. 

She didn’t want to owe Jared any favors at this crucial moment. 

Jared said calmly, “Agnes, let’s put aside the divorce for now, let’s wait until your dad’s condition is stable, okay? I’ve already contacted world–renowned _neurologists, they’ll be at Hope Hospital in a couple of days for consultation, don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to your dad.” 

Agnes didn’t know what she was feeling.

Jared stayed with Agnes in the ICU all night..

Agnes anxiously asked, “When will he wake up?”

A week later, Preston was moved from the ICU to a regular VIP ward. 

His vital signs had stabilized. 

However, he never woke up.

On the day he was moved out of the ICU, Jared said to Agnes, “Let me take you home. Go take a shower, you need to rest
