Chapter 810 “Let’s get married.”
In response, Evelyn was met with a warm and enthusiastic hug. His arms were wrapped tightly around her shoulders and waist, and the strength was so strong that she almost couldn’t breathe. Evelyn raised her hand and patted the man’s tightened arms. “Be gentle.”
Huston was so excited that he hugged her as if he had gotten the whole world. The uncontrollable happiness almost broke through his body. He wanted to shout and let everyone know that she was his.
“Thank you, Evelyn.” He knew that Evelyn had always been a career–minded woman, and it was also because of this that her giving up seemed particularly precious.
Evelyn’s eyes were moist. Recently, she had cried a lot, as if she could not stop crying. “Since you know, treat me better in the future.”
These words undoubtedly made Huston even more excited. He knew that she was willing to try to accept him and give him a
chance.
He loosened his grip slightly and put his hands on her shoulders. He pushed her away so that she could see herself more clearly. His ink–black eyes were full of sincerity and piety. “I swear on my life that I will be good to you and the child in the future. If I can’t do it, I won’t be good…”
Before she could finish her words, her thin lips were covered by a warm hand.
He looked down and saw her slightly knitted brows and slightly reproachful face.
“Don’t talk nonsense. I believe you.” If she didn’t believe him, she wouldn’t have stayed.
Huston raised his hand and pulled her arm down. His fingers intertwined with each other and his heart beat wildly. “Are you that worried about me?”
“I’m not worried about you…” She was stubborn and refused to admit it, but her blushing cheeks had explained everything. Although she was so shy to say it, she still wanted him to hear her inner thoughts. “Huston, we have gone through so many twists and turns together. I understand my heart and yours. Maybe I will never be able to let go of this relationship in my life. If that’s the case, then I’m willing to put it back in my heart now. I don’t want to have any regrets in the future, nor do I want to lose a happy family because of me. I don’t need anything else, as long as you can make me firmly believe that my decision is right.”
She spoke word by word gently, but the shock she brought him was not reduced at all.
After understanding her own heart, she would bravely move forward. She didn’t want anything as long as he didn’t make her regret it again.
She was strong but soft.
How could he let go of Evelyn? How could he bear to let go?
Huston took a step forward, cupped her cheeks with both hands, lowered his head, and rubbed her nose affectionately. “I won’t, darling. I won’t let you regret it. Never.”
Evelyn’s eyes were red, but she smiled cunningly. “Okay, I’ll wait and see your performance.”
Huston kissed her on the lips. His breath was hot, but his thin lips were cold in the evening. Huston felt like a fish that had been thrown back into the water after a pause. He had to take
her breath to survive.
He broke into her territory, and joy welled up in his heart. He almost drowned in the passionate kiss at this moment. He loosened his grip a little, but his thin lips did not move away completely. As he spoke, he pressed his lips against hers. “Let’s get married.”
Evelyn was still in a daze from his kiss and couldn’t come to her senses. “What?”
“Let’s get married,” he repeated, with indescribable tenderness in his words. “I want to marry you.”
He was already thirty–seven years old, and the child was almost five years old, but he had never given her an identity and a complete family. It was not a whim for him to get married. He
wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
Evelyn looked at him with tears in her eyes. When she heard him say that he was getting married, her heart couldn’t help beating faster at the same time. However, she questioned him. angrily, “You think we can get married just because you say so? I don’t want to marry you yet.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he tightened his arms around her and subconsciously became nervous. “If you don’t marry me, who do you want to marry?”
“There are so many people who like me.”
Huston sneered and clenched his teeth. “If anyone dares to be with you, I’ll kill that adulterer first before breaking your legs and locking them up.”
Although she knew that such a thing would not happen, Evelyn still got goosebumps after hearing it. “Can you do it?”
“You’d better not try so easily.”
