Estelle was chilling on the terrace when Amiee walked over, handed her a glass of orange juice and casually asked, “What’s up?”
Estelle giggled and shook her head, “Nothing much. Carson’s engaged now, how about your wedding plans with Josiah?”
“I was just about to chat with you about that.” Amiee replied calmly, “Both families are pitching in and we’ll probably be tying the knot this month!”
They’d been together for ages and both their families were keen to get the wedding ball rolling, but Josiah and Amiee had an unspoken agreement to wait for Estelle

Estelle gave a warm smile and said. “All the best!”
“What about you? I think Manley’s pretty sweet on you, maybe you should give him a shot.” Amiee believed that only by starting a new relationship could one truly move on from past heartaches.
“No rush, life’s not all about romance.” Estelle smiled, took a sip of her orange juice and turned to gaze at the bustling night view.
As they were chatting, the door was pushed open and a woman stormed in, shouting, “Carson, come out!”
The room instantly fell silent
Carson stood up, looking a bit taken aback at the sight of the woman, “Cicely!”
“Carson, didn’t you say you were going to marry me? Why are you engaged to another woman?” Cicely’s face was filled with despair as she stared at Carson
Estelle was surprised, she could hardly recognize the girl. Cicely was someone that Carson lately dated. Estelle had seen her at a party before, back when she was a gentle and beautiful girl.
Over the past couple of years, Cicely had changed drastically. Her face seemed to have gone through plastic surgery, and her once soft features had turned sharp. her eyes bigger, Now heavily made up, she appeared more mature but it couldn’t hide the weariness and dullness on her face, especially her eyes, which had lost their innocence and looked lost
Amiee whispered to Estelle, 1 heard from Josiah that Cicely’s a college student. After getting together with Carson, she suddenly got obssessed with plastic surgery. and her face ended up looking more and more haggard. Carson couldn’t stand her insistence on surgery and broke up with her. After the breakup, she drowned her sorrows at nightclubs, was taken to a hotel by some guy, and even got pregnant. She insists that the child is Carson’s and often creates a scene at his place. So, they’re pushing Carson to get engaged to his current girlfriend because of this mess
Estelle suddenly understood and looked at Cicely, not knowing whether to sympathize with her or feel sorry for her.

Cicely’s tears began to flow, she looked at him in disbelief, “You told me you only loved me, you said you’d marry me, have you forgotten all that?”
“When I was sick and had a fever in the middle of the night, you rushed over to take me to the hospital, to feed me medicine.”
“You said that you missed me so much that you couldn’t sleep, were those all lies?”
The woman cried over the memories of the past.
As Estelle looked at her desperate expression, her heart ached, and the air suddenly seemed thinner, making it hard to breathe.
Someone tried to comfort Cicely. “Cicely, don’t do this!”
“I don’t know what I should do Cicely suddenly shouted out of control, “I feel like I’m on the verge of breaking down, but before I do, I need to hear him say that he loves me, that his engagement to someone else was forced”
Estelle shook her head slightly, this girl was just too stubborn. Even now, she wasn’t willing to accept the truth!
