“Of course, but my Estelle here doesn’t take kindly to me getting sloshed. I’m afraid she might get ticked off and boot me out of the bed! Manley gave a sweet laugh, then turned his tender gaze to Estelle.
Estelle was poker-faced, reaching around to grab Manley’s waist and gave it a hard twist
“Ouch!” Manley sucked in a breath, then said even more cheekily “Don’t be shy, it’s not like anyone else is around”
Jonathan chuckled, “Don’t worry, Estelle won’t be kicking anyone out of bed
Really? Manley grinned, looking adoringly at Estelle, “Maybe I’ve spoiled her too much!
Estelle frowned slightly but held her tongue in front of Jonathan and Owen. She quickly changed the subject and took out a gift for Gwen from her bag. “Happy birthday!”
Gwen accepted the gift, her mile undiminished. “Thank you Estelle. Today’s desserts were made by a three-star Michelin chef, courtesy of Jonathan. Since you’re a sucker for sweets, feel free to indulge”
Estelle nodded, smiling slightly, “Okay”
Gwen, amin a with her man, looked up at him and said in a coquettish voice, Tm going to change into a different dress, accompany me, will you?
“Of course Jonathan smiled, nodding. He then turned to Estelle and Manley, ‘Excuse us for a moment, please feel free to make yourselves at home.”
“No need for formalities, Mr. Lamont!”
As Gwen walked away arm in arm with her man again, she looked up at him, her eyes filled with adoration and joy as they always were.
Jonathan turned his head to chat with her patient and gentle.
Estelle watched their retreating figures, her eyes gradually dimming
Two years was enough time for everything and everyone to change.
He and Gwen ended up together and the man at her side was now the previously untouchable Manley.
Their lives had been reshuffled, as if the past had never existed.

Estelle looked up at him, not saying a word, her gaze cool and composed
What can she did if she felt in love with him? Would he leave her one day, too?
She believed that Jonathan had loved her deeply too. That kind of profound love was definitely real. However, even the deepest love can fade away.
The pain of losing him outweighed her expectations of love.
She had made it through, and she would never make the same mistake again!
