This side of Jonathan seemed foreign to Estelle, she shook her head slightly, “Are you interrogating me?”

Jonathan sat on the couch, looking at Estelle with a cold tone, “Could I have misheard?” 

Estelle closed her eyes, she knew Jonathan wouldn’t lie to her, but she didn’t understand why Xavier would say such a thing. 

Jonathan’s gaze became heavy, “Estelle, who matters more to you, me or Xavier?” 

Estelle looked into his eyes and said honestly, “You both mean a lot to me. Xavier is like family, and you are my lover.” 

“What if I asked you to choose between us? Choose me, and you can’t see Xavier anymore. Choose him, and you’ll lose me!” 

Estelle frowned deeply, “Jonathan, you know I can’t choose!” 

“Give up Xavier, don’t see him anymore, and we can be as we were!” Jonathan stared at her. 

Estelle shook her head, “You and Xavier aren’t at odds, why are you making me choose?” 

“I’ve known Yvonne since we were kids. If you told me you didn’t like her, I would never see her again! But now I tell you I don’t like Xavier, and you can’t choose me alone?” 

Jonathan’s gaze gradually darkened, like a turbulent whirlpool in the deep sea. His whole persona seemed shadowed. There was no more warmth in his eyes for Estelle. 

Estelle suddenly felt scared, she crouched down in front of him, looking at him sincerely, “Jonathan, Xavier and I are just friends, close friends. He’s my teacher, my friend, please believe me!” 

Jonathan’s eyes were devoid of light, he gently touched Estelle’s face, caressing it just like countless other nights. But the words he spoke were devoid 

of warmth. 

“Estelle, let’s break up.” 

Estelle looked at him in disbelief, “What did you say?” 

“Let’s break up. I’m tired of it!” he said. 

He had always thought that what Yvonne told him wouldn’t affect his love and trust for Estelle, but now he had to admit, the rift had already taken root between them. 

Even if he acted as if nothing was wrong, kissing her passionately, his heart was no longer filled with the tenderness of before. 

Until Victor showed up, until he saw her being intimate with Jason, his heart had cooled. 

And Xavier’s incident was just a spark that made him realize they could never go back to the way things were!
