Chapter 824
Noon was a bit hectic, by the time Estelle and Gwen got to their boxed lunches, they were already cold.
They called up Craig, and the three of them headed straight for Smokestack BBQ.
As soon as they left, Yvonne’s assistant poured a cup of hot water for Yvonne with a sour tone, “Estelle and Gwen are getting closer and closer, and that Craig guy, the three of them dine out together daily!”
Yvonne remained calm, “As long as there are benefits, relationships can be solid.”
The assistant asked curiously, “What benefits could they have among them?”
Yvonne just chuckled and did not say anything.
“Come back to the studio with me to sign a contract, and we’ll be back around three in the afternoon. Tell Mr. Mayfield to push back my scenes.”
“Sure, I’ll go right away!” The assistant nodded immediately.
When the assistant came back, Yvonne put on her coat and went out. The car waiting for her was already parked outside the courtyard.
The two of them got into the car and left the Movie Center, heading towards the city.
Suddenly, the assistant pointed at a shop in front and said to Yvonne, “Yvonne, that’s the BBQ place Gwen and the others often go to. I wonder what’s so special about it, they go there every day!”
Yvonne casually looked out the car window, it was an ordinary BBQ place, with a man smoking outside the door.
She swept her gaze over the man’s face and suddenly froze, shouting urgently, “Stop the car!”
“Screech!”
With a sudden brake, Yvonne’s body jolted forward, and the assistant beside her quickly held her, “Yvonne!”
Yvonne brushed her off, her gaze fixed on the man outside the BBQ shop.
How could it be him? Wasn’t he dead?
Her dad had been looking for him for so many years, then someone said he was dead. She and her mom both believed he was dead, but to her surprise, he appeared in front of her out of the blue!
Yvonne’s face changed color as she stared straight at the man, Gonzalez!
It had been ten years, he had changed a lot, in her memory, he was a clean and handsome youth, but now, he was tall and muscular, with a face full of stubble, looking desolate, completely different from before!
But she recognized him at a glance!
Because the impression was too deep! After she and her mom arrived at the Hanson family, Gonzalez couldn’t stand the two of them, always opposing them.
At that time, she didn’t understand why, seeing that Gonzalez didn’t like them, she tried to please him, hoping he would be friendlier towards them, but all she got was his cold and mocking attitudes.
At that time, she had just changed schools and was bullied by two girls in her class. Gonzalez clearly saw it but ignored it completely.
She will never forget his cold and disdainful gaze at that time!
So, even if Gonzalez turned into ashes, she would recognize him!
So, he’d been in J City all along!
But if he was in J City, why didn’t he come home?
Yvonne’s eyes flickered, asking her assistant next to her, “This is the BBQ place that Estelle and the others often come to?”
“Yes, I’ve seen them going in.” The assistant immediately said.
“How long has this BBQ place been open?”
The assistant shook her head, “I’m not sure.”
Yvonne took another look at the man in front of the BBQ store, then told the driver, “Let’s go!”
