Bennett thought carefully about Simone’s words and knew she had a paint. Frowning he asked, “So you chose Carmella and gave up on Estelle?” 

Simone grabbed a tissue to wipe away her sudden tears, I had no choice but to pick one in this situation. I know it’s unfair to Estelle But I’ve invested too much time and energy in Carmella. I can’t possibly put the same effort into Estelle Besides, and she doesn’t have the same potential as Carmella” 

“It’s just a pity that her foster parents died early, and those who adopted her afterward gave her a mediocre upbringing making her unfit for our kind of family!”

Outside the private box, the door was slightly ajar Carmella stood there, listening to Simone and Bennett’s conversation clearly

After dinner, Estelle and the others left the mansion. 

Estelle handed a small gift to Henson, smiling. “Just a little something from me!” 

Janice refused, ‘I appreciate your thought, but I can’t accept the gift!” 

“Just take it, it’s only right” Jonathan took the gift and handed it to Henson. 

Janice scowled at Jonathan, retorting, ‘Ms. Macclain works just as diligently for her earnings, you know. What’s with this only right nonsense?” 

Henson accepted the gift, understanding the situation. He thanked Estelle. 

With his back to Janice and Alcott, he mouthed another ‘Thank you, Auntie!” 

Estelle’s ears turned red, and she turned to say goodbye to Janice and her husband. 

Jonathan said, “Bro, you guys go home. I’ll take Ms. Macclain.” 

Alcott nodded, ‘Drive safely!” 

“Will do.” 

Everyone said their goodbyes and went to their cars to leave 

On the way home, Janice pondered, “Why do I feel like there’s something weird between them?” 

Alcott dismissed her concerns, “Young people who spend a lot of time together are all like that. You’re just being too sensitive!” 

Janice turned back to Henson and asked, “When Ms. Macclain came over the weekend, did you notice anything unusual?” 

“No!” Henson said seriously, “Ms. Macclain was very focused during class. She left as soon as it was over.” 

Janice turned back and smiled, “Maybe I’m just overthinking it!” 

Henson looked out the window and secretly laughed to himself.
