Chapter 75
Estelle didn’t say anything, neither denying nor admitting, letting Manley think whatever he wanted.
Manley laughed casually and lazily, “leave him, come to me. No matter how much money he gives you, I’ll give you double, and I’ll spoil you more, at least better
than Jonathan!”
Estelle’s gaze turned a bit cold, “do you have nothing better to do?”
Manley stopped laughing and said seriously. “No, I’m actually very busy, and usually have a lot of pressure, so I always want to find some fun for myself. For example, stealing Jonathan’s girl.”
He laughed again, a wicked kind of laugh, “Last month, he snatched a piece of land from me. If I steal you away, would that make us even?”
Estelle was a bit impatient, “Don’t involve me in your matters We’re even now.”
Manley smirked, “We won’t be even until the party is over. It’s not over yet.”
Having said that, he suddenly stepped forward, grabbed Estelle’s wrist, and dragged her into the banquet hall.
Estelle struggled, lowered her voice and asked, “Manley, what are you trying to do?”
Manley knew she was trained in self–defense, so he held her hand tightly and looked back with a smile, “You’ll find out soon.”
The corridor and the banquet hall were separated by just a wall. In no time, the two were in the banquet hall, and Jonathan’s eyes narrowed as he saw them.
With Manley bringing Estelle in like this, the hall gradually quieted down, and everyone looked clueless
Manley took Estelle to the center of the hall, his hand firmly holding her wrist. He looked at her tenderly, smiled, and said, “Let me introduce you to everyone. My girlfriend, Estelle.”
He paused and looked at Jonathan, whose face had darkened, “She’s also Mr. Lamont’s niece, so please take care of her from now on.”
Estelle instinctively looked up at Jonathan, who had icy gazes in his eyes, watching the two of them coldly and deeply.
She felt a sinking feeling in her heart. Just a moment ago, Jonathan had warned her to stay away from Manley. Yet now she had become Manley’s “girlfriend” before even leaving the villa.
Manley squeezed her wrist, looked at the astonished women, and maintained his smile, while his eyes turned cold, Tm putting you all on notice. If anyone dares to bully her while I’m not around, don’t blame me for having a bad temper1”
The women who had just made fun of Estelle shuddered, each feeling Manley’s words were directed at them, especially Vivi, whose face turned pale.
She looked at Estelle with jealousy and fear.
Manley had a notorious reputation, but he had never officially admitted to dating any woman. Today, however, he announced that Estelle was his girlfriend in front of so many people.
Of course, this was what the women thought, while the men wondered if the Scott family was going to form an alliance with the Lamont family through mamage,
Estelle looked at him and whispered angrily, “What the hell are you doing!?”
Manley stared into her eyes without blinking, his face full of affection, “Don’t be shy, our relationship will become public knowledge sooner or later!”
Estelle wanted to blow up his head and let people see if there was shit inside.
Jonathan was already approaching them, his eyes cold and focused on Estelle, “When did this happen?”
Estelle’s face turned slightly pale, trying to break free from Manley’s grasp, but he tightened his grip even more.
Manley smiled faintly, “Estelle is shy, so she didn’t feel comfortable telling you”
Jonathan’s tone was equally cold and sarcastic, “So, Mr. Scott, are you planning to call me uncle as well from now on?” Marley’s eyes flashed mischief, pulling Estelle even closer, “It’s not too late to change it on our engagement day”
“Engagement?” Jonathan’s gaze darkened further, “Isn’t this progressing a bit too quickly?”
The entire banquet hall, with dozens of people, was silent Only Jonathan and Manley were talking, both with smiles on their faces, as if discussing family matters. Yet somehow, everyone felt the air around them had solidified, and they didn’t even dare to breathe.
