Chapter 72 

Manley laughed lightly. “Who cares who she is? What happened?” 

Jonathan looked indifferent, “Someone said Estelle stole something.” 

Manley glanced at the flustered Fiona and his tone got serious, “Fiona, I asked you to take care of Estelle, and this is how you do it? Accusing her of stealing your earrings? Why not say she stole your brain? Oh, right, you don’t have one” 

Fiona, being scolded by Manley in front of her father, didn’t dare to get angry and just whimpered in a low voice, “It was Naomi who said it, I didn’t know” 

Manley questioned Naomi, “Did you see with your own eyes Estelle stealing the earnings?” 

Naomi couldn’t bear the questioning of both Jonathan and Manley. Her lips trembled and she just kept crying. 

Estelle remained silent, quietly watching Manley’s performance. 

Soon, the surveillance video was sent to Jonathan’s phone. After he looked at it for a while, he smirked and had the video projected in the banquet hall. 

Everyone clearly saw a group of women surrounding Estelle, asking her ridiculous questions. When they heard her third answer, mentioning the backpack, Manley and others couldn’t help but laugh. 

But those women were embarrassed and nervous. 

Later, someone deliberately spilled wine on Estelle, and in the chaos, Naomi went behind Fiona 

Fiona secretly passed an earring to Naomi, and when the projection was enlarged, they could see it was a ruby earring. 

Naomi pretended to be kind to Estelle and took the earring out when she took a wet wipe from her bag. She squatted down to help Estelle clean her shoes while trying to sneak the earring into Estelle’s pants pocket. 

Estelle noticed and caught her red handed. Naomi immediately screamed for attention, falsely claiming the earring fell out of Estelle’s pocket. 

The whole process was captured clearly by the surveillance camera. 

It was like an opera, exposing everyone’s manipulations and ugliness one by one 

As they watched the video, Fiona and Naomi’s faces changed 

Jonathan had the projection turned off, his voice cold as ice, “Mr. Waldo, what do you have to say?” 

Mr. Waldo turned pale and suddenly slapped Fiona in the face, “You shameless thing, you’ve shamed your family name!” 

He looked fierce, nothing like his previous elegance. 

Fiona covered her face and cried loudly. 

Mr. Waldo then coldly looked at Naomi, “You must have instigated this behind her back. Get out! Fiona doesn’t need a friend like you!” 

Naomi was trembling with fear. She had been trying to climb the social ladder by attaching herself to Fiona, so she dared not stay any longer and ran off. Manley stepped in to defuse the situation, “Forget it, at least we have the surveillance to clear Estelle’s name. I don’t think Fiona did it on purpose. It was just a 

moment of mischief.” 

Fiona’s tearful eyes looked at Manley, full of gratitude for him speaking up for her. 

She had no idea who dug this hole for her. 

Mr Waldo repeatedly apologized to Jonathan and Estelle, looking as sincere as ever, almost ready to kneel down. 

Jonathan remained silent, his face calm, and asked Estelle, “What do you think?” 

Estelle gazed into his eyes and said softly. “Let it go!” 

Naomi was just a pawn in Fiona’s hands, and Fiona was also a pawn in Manley’s. Now that Jonathan had already helped her out, so there was no need to grasp at this issue, causing trouble for Mr Waldo while letting Manley watch the show. 

Mr Waldo breathed a sigh of relief, quickly telling Fiona, “Ms. Macclain is so understanding, hurry up and apologize to her” 

Fions, reluctant or not, had to show some humility and mumbled, “I’m sorry” 

“You got Ms. Macclain’s clothes, dirty, take her upstairs to change Mr Waldo scolded Fiona again. 

Fiona, tears in her eyes, nodded and whispered to Estelle, ‘Ms. Macclain, come with me upstairs” 

Jonathan held Estelle’s hand, Ill go with you” 

Manley looked at their clasped hands, feeling slightly uncomfortable, squinting his eyes, and silently sneered
