It’s already late autumn, and they didn’t expect this kind of weather.
Late at night, Jonathan washed Estelle and himself, then carried her back to bed and hugged her in his arms.
“I told Yvonne that I’m into you,” Jonathan whispered in Estelle’s ear.
Estelle looked at him with half-closed eyes, her face tired, but her gaze was gentle. She nodded slowly.
After Jonathan left today, she made up her mind that if Yvonne told the Lamont family’s parents about her and Jonathan, then she will tell him everything truthfully.
After that, no matter what happens, she would face it positively.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Jonathan kissed Estelle’s ear while holding her close.
Listening to the storm outside, Estelle felt uneasy and snuggled closer to Jonathan, whispering, “Have you ever thought about marrying me?”
This was the second time she asked him this question.
She knew Jonathan was into her, but she also knew he didn’t like being tied down by marriage. If she told him that his marriage with the Macclain family was not annulled, and she was Bennett’s daughter, would he accept it?
Jonathan’s voice was hoarse. “Didn’t we agree to consider it after you graduate?”
“What if your parents find out about us? Would you marry me?” Estelle asked in a low voice.
Jonathan whispered back, “If they find out, we’ll get married.”
Estelle let out a small sigh of relief, hugged his arm, and closed her eyes. “Mmm.”
“Do you really want to marry me that much?” Jonathan asked, his voice deep and seductive, “Do you like me, or do you like being the CEO’s wife?” Familiar question. Estelle didn’t hesitate, “the CEO’s wife!”
Jonathan smiled faintly, “So I’m not that important after all.”
Estelle turned around and hugged him, her voice slurry from sleepiness, “You are important. Only with you would there be a CEO’s wife!”
“You’re wide awake!” Jonathan laughed softly.
“No, I’m so sleepy that my mind is muddled,” Estelle said quietly, finding a comfortable position and quickly falling asleep.
“Good night, babe. Jonathan bent down and gave her a light kiss on her forehead.
The next day, the sky was still gloomy, and the rain was lighter, drizzling down, and everything seemed gray.
Charlie and Emily went to work together, and they separated at the parking lot, Emily went to take the employee elevator.
After arriving at work, she was busy until almost noon when she discovered Charlie’s file in her bag.
She figured it out, there was a traffic jam on her way to work, and she was reading work files in the car. When she arrived at the office, she hastily packed up her things and accidentally took Charlie’s things on the seat too.
Emily called Charlie, asking if it was convenient for her to bring the file up.
Charlie’s assistant answered the phone, saying that he was in a meeting.
Emily only mentioned she was from the engineering department and had to deliver a file to Charlie.
The assistant allowed her to come up and hand the file over to her.
Emily hung up, was about to go to the CEO’s office, Rachel suddenly came over and asked her to photocopy a document.
