The girl looked at Isis, tears streaming down her face as if she’d suffered the greatest injustice in the world.
A few people around them hurried over to mediate, pulling Isis away and comforting her.
Estelle held Isis’s hand and whispered, “Calm down, it’s no big deal.
Isis snorted, “I really hate hypocritical girls like her”
The crying girl hid away while others comforted Isis, “That’s just the way Wendy talks, Estelle, don’t take it to heart, and don’t be upset either, Isis!”
Estelle kept her composure and asked Isis to continue playing games with everyone, not to let her mood be affected.
Everyone managed to lighten the atmosphere, treating the previous incident as an insignificant conflict.
Luckily, the private room was filled of people, so most people didn’t notice what just happened. The overall atmosphere was still cheerful and lively.
Isis played games while Estelle watched.
When she first came to J City, her grandfather had a long talk with her, asking her not to be too negative and to put down all her past and live a good life, treating people kindly.
As long as others don’t mess with her, she wouldn’t care, but it was still difficult for her to fit in with others.
At first, she wanted to have a good relationship with the girls in her class, but most of the topics they talked about were makeup, clothes, designer bags, and boys.
She didn’t know much about these things and simply couldn’t join the conversation,
After a while, she became an independent character in her class.
She became friends with Isis solely because they both shared a love for sweets.
Brooke and her group were playing “Truth or Dare” Saul was picked, and a girl asked him, “Who’s the person you like the most?”
Brooke stared at Saul intently
Saul’s eyes glanced towards Estelle, and Isis quickly moved her body to block her from view
Isis had previously supported Saul in pursuing Estelle, but ever since Saul got rejected and his immediate hookup with Brooke, she immediately categorized him as the opposite side.
People on the other side were making noise, and Saul said in a soft voice, “The person I like the most is right here in this room.”
The girl who asked the question persisted, “What kind of answer is that? You have to say a name.”
Another girl pulled her aside, “He must be talking about Brooke, why do you keep asking? Hurry up and keep playing!”
Brooke glanced at Saul, her lips curving up into a smile as she reached out to hold his hand.
But Saul avoided her hand, picked up a drink, and downed it in one go..
Brooke’s face darkened slightly as she caught a glimpse of Estelle from the corner of her eye and thought, Some people just make her uncomfortable whenever they appear!
Estelle had two glasses of juice and got up to go to the bathroom.
The bathroom door in the private room was locked from the inside. Estelle was about to wait for a while when suddenly she heard strange noises coming from
inside
She hesitated for a moment, in here? Really?
Subconsciously, she turned her head to look inside the private room. The flickering lights and the lively atmosphere made it hard for her to spot who was missing
With the two people inside unlikely to be done anytime soon, Estelle had no choice but to go to the bathroom on the hallway.
As she returned, she saw a tall figure leaning against the wall next to the door, eyes closed, seemingly drunk..
Estelle walked past the boy and was just about to push the door open when Saul suddenly grabbed her wrist, his voice hoarse, “Estelle!”
She turned her head, “Are you drunk?”
It seemed as if her words had provoked something in Saul. He suddenly grabbed harder, spinned her around, and pinned her to the wall, his bloodshot eyes stanng at her intently
Estelle’s back pressed against the wall, her eyes cold and clear, “let go of me
But Saul didn’t budge, his hands pushed against the wall on the side of her shoulders, staring into her eyes as he murmured, “Someone just asked me who I like the most, and I didn’t finish answering My answer is, the person I like the most is right here, and her name is Estelle.”
Estelle frowned, trying to push away the hall drunk man, but as she raised her head, she saw two people walking towards her down the hallway.
The man in front wore a light gray casual shirt, his handsome face displaying its usual indifference as his long eyes glanced briefly over her before he continued to walk past without any change in expression
It was the man beside him who took a second look at Estelle and then chuckled to Jonathan, “Ah, young people are so full of passion
