Hannah praised, “Good!”
Miya said with a smirk, “Jewelry is Inman’s strong suit. Although she couldn’t be selected as the movie’s designer, working with Fantasy Jewels is still a gain from yesterday’s cocktail party!”
Alice deliberately said, “Miya, you’re speaking too soon. The design drafts haven’t been given to Mr. Mayfield yet. Who knows who hell choose in the end!”
Miya took out her makeup mirror and applied lipstick, “Well, let’s wait and see then!”
Carmella thought of the three design drafts she saw at Inman’s and was a bit worried, wondering if Inman was hiding her true strength and deliberately lulling others.
But it didn’t matter, Inman and Estelle were bound to lose!
Hannah said, “No matter who is chosen in the end, it’s all from our studio. You guys must always remember that we share honor and disgrace together!”
“Yes!” Everyone responded in unison.
Hannah continued, “Around Friday, Mr. Mayfield will arrange a meeting for you guys, mainly to hear your design ideas for the movie costumes. Get ready in the next few days.”
“An interview? Alice asked.
Hannah said softly, “Something like that!”
Miya sneered, “They want us to be interviewed? Isn’t this movie taking itself too seriously!”
Hannah said, “Mr. Mayfield’s movies have always been known for their strict requirements, and since the protagonist is Yvonne, they are even more stringent. If you don’t want to go, you can quit now!”
Miya looked embarrassed and didn’t say anything.
Go get busy, meeting dismissed!” Hannah stood up, took the sealed design drafts, and left.
Inman returned to her office and smiled at Estelle, “Don’t worry. With our joint design drafts, we’ll definitely win!”
She had never bothered to argue with Miya, and she found that Estelle didn’t like arguing either, which made her even more fond of Estelle.
Estelle nodded, “Director Carlin is right. We’re all studio employees, it doesn’t matter who gets selected!”
Inman smiled lightly, with a deep meaning in her words, “That’s what they say, but after all, it’s about reputation and personal interests. Who doesn’t want to desperately grab the biggest crown?”
She raised her eyebrows, “You’re still young. You’ll understand when you’ve been around for a while!”
“Hmm!” Estelle looked humble.
“Come with me to the meeting!” Inman laughed.
“Okay,” Estelle agreed.
When she returned to her office, she saw other people gathered and chatting as if there was a big piece of news.
A girl named Sunny in the office said to Estelle, “Estelle, you went to the cocktail party with Inman last night, right? Did you see Yvonne?”
“Yes!” Estelle nodded.
“Are Yvonne and Hattie not getting along?” Sunny asked with wide eyes.
“Huh?” Estelle looked puzzled.
Sunny handed her phone to Estelle, “Take a look!”
Estelle speed-read the article, which said that early this morning, Yvonne and Hattie were trending.
The first trending title was “Hattie Steals Yvonne’s Spotlight.”
The news put pictures of Yvonne and Hattie at the party side by side. Yvonne looked glamorous and grand, while Hattie went for a sweet style. Despite being overshadowed by Yvonne, the news bashed Yvonne and praised Hattie, saying she was a natural beauty with
