Chapter 496
Estelle turned around and saw two girls standing behind her, one being her classmate Wendy, and the other one was Brooke.
She hadn’t seen Brooke in a long time and knew she’d graduated and started working in her father’s company Now she was even more fashionable than before, all dressed up in designer clothes.
Brooke and Estelle didn’t get along, and she just had a cold face when she saw Estelle.
Wendy had a grudge with Estelle over an incident at a classmate’s birthday party. Seeing Estelle now, she didn’t want to let her off easily and sarcastically said, “Wow, now anyone can come into Sweet Whispers Bakery, huh?”
Brooke scoffed. ‘She’s probably just here for pictures!”
As she finished speaking another person came in behind her and stopped when they saw Estelle.
It was Saul, who had chased Estelle before.
Saul had come with Brooke but got delayed because he went parking When Brooke saw him looking at Estelle all dumbfounded, she got annoyed and said in a cold voice, “What, you fell for her again? How about you go pay her bill since she hasn’t settled it yet?”
Saul had changed from a cheerful young man to a gloomy adult. He glanced at Brooke and said, “I haven’t said anything. Just stop causing trouble!”
Estelle stayed silent with a cold face and continued to ask the staff to pay the bill.
Brooke hated Estelle’s indifferent attitude the most, like she was putting herself above them! She got mad, walked over to Estelle, and saw what she had ordered. Looking maliciously at Estelle, she asked, ‘Where did you get the money? I wondered why Saul’s accounts always seemed off. Are you spending his money?”
Saul was wealthy and lived a luxurious life. Brooke always suspected he was spending money on other girls, so she checked his bills every week
In her heart, she knew Saul and Estelle hadn’t been in contact lately. But she wanted to humiliate Estelle in public and warn Saul! Estelle looked at Brooke and said, “You need evidence! Even if you don’t have it, just ask Saul how long I haven’t seen him!” Wendy chimed in, ‘Do you think he’d admit it if you spent his money?”
Suddenly Saul spoke, ‘It’s my money, and I’ll spend it on whoever I want. Who the hell are you to say anything?”
Wendy’s face turned pale, and Brooke got even more unhappy. “What do you mean? Are you admitting it?”
Saul answered coldly and irritably ‘Let’s just break up, I’m sick of you stirring up problems all the time, aren’t you tired?”
Their argument caught everyone’s attention. Brooke’s face turned pale, and she said, ‘Saul, what did you just say? When did you and Estelle hook up?”
Saul yelled, “Yes, I’ve always liked Estelle! It’s my money, I’ll spend it on her, I’d even give her my family’s company if that’s what she wants!”
Estelle was taken aback as she witnessed Saul’s transformation, his eyes turning red and wild. It seemed that he had reached his breaking point with Brooke and finally exploded
Brooke, sensing Saul’s volatile state, dared not provoke him. Instead, she directed her anger towards Estelle and attempted to slap her face, shouting “You bitch!”
Estelle instinctively tried to push Brooke away, but her arm was suddenly grabbed, preventing her from retaliating. She was pulled back, and a tall figure stood between her and Brooke In a swift motion, the man raised his hand and delivered a slap to Brooke, causing her to stumble backward. The onlookers were left in shock.
Estelle gazed at the man standing before her, squinting her eyes slightly, and couldn’t help but wonder, “Why is he here too”
Wendy quickly supported Brooke, glanced at the man’s handsome face, and whispered, “It’s Manley Scott!‘
