Janice smiled gracefully, “I asked you to stay because I wanted to apologize to you and clear things up. I hope there won’t be any grudges between us.”
Estelle said, ‘No, you’re overthinking it.”
“That’s good!” Janice’s tone became even gentler, “Stay for lunch, since Henson hasn’t seen you for a while. You guys can have a nice chat. Norah went to see a ballet performance and will be back at
noon.”
“It’s okay. You have guests at home, so I won’t bother you any longer.” Estelle stood up, “I’ll leave first.”
“Alright, get home safe!” Janice stood up to see her out.
Jonathan was standing at the window on the third floor, watching Estelle get into the car. He didn’t take his eyes off her until the car left the villa. His eyes were half-lidded, and his gaze was wavering. A moment later, Yvonne came to find him. “Why did you come upstairs? I had a hard time finding you. Lunch is ready, and they’re all waiting for us downstairs. Let’s go.”
“Okay!” Jonathan put out the cigarette in his hand.
Yvonne opened all the windows, frowning and laughing, “I’ve noticed that you’ve been smoking a lot more lately. You weren’t this addicted before.”
Jonathan’s eyes were deep, and he calmly said, “Some things just get more addictive as time goes
on.”
Yvonne chuckled, “Still, you should smoke less. It’s not good for your health.”
Jonathan simply said, “Let’s go downstairs to eat.”
As the two walked side by side, Yvonne said, “When I went up, I saw Ms. Macclain left. I really didn’t expect Henson’s tutor to be so beautiful!”
Jonathan’s expression remained indifferent, “Just so so.”
Yvonne smiled at him and asked, “If she’s just so so, then how beautiful must someone be to catch your eye?”
Jonathan’s heart was stuffy, and he didn’t say anything.
When Estelle got off the car at the University of J City, she thought she had nothing to do after going back, so she went to the library to read.
In the evening, Estelle received a call from Magdalen.
After hanging up the phone, Estelle stayed in the library for another half an hour before leaving. She saw Magdalen’s red sports car outside the school gate.
Estelle got in the car, and Magdalen handed her a box, “This is from your godmother!”

me?
Magdalen raised her eyebrows, smiling, “I did, but she insisted. I can’t stop her. Her dream of dressing me like a lady is shattered, so she wants to find some comfort in you.”
Estelle pursed her lips, “I don’t usually wear such clothes, so it’s a waste to buy them.”
“Why can’t you wear them?” Magdalen looked up and down at her and frowned, “It’s fine to wear jeans and a t-shirt during class, but you don’t have to dress so simple on the weekends.”
She stepped on the gas pedal and said without hesitation, “Go change now!”
Estelle glared at her and asked, “You want me to accompany you to another party?”
“Don’t you think you should dress up nicely even without a party?” Magdalen expressed her disdain.
Magdalen took Estelle directly to her usual styling studio, entered the VIP room, and pushed her toward her personal designer, Marya. “We have an hour, change her from head to toe.”
