The man behind her frowned, stepped forward, and asked Estelle, “Ms. Macclain, do you need help?” Manley was wearing a pink suit, which would normally be too much for a guy. However, on Manley, it somehow looked extraordinary, especially the black earring on his ear, which added a touch of elegance to him.

With one hand holding Estelle’s wrist and the other holding the cake, he stared coldly at the man,

“Get lost!”

The man’s face changed, and he was about to speak when Estelle suddenly said, “Thank you, I’m fine. Are you going to the eighth floor? Go ahead!”

The man nodded, “Mr. James and Jonah are upstairs. If anyone causes trouble, feel free to call, Ms.

Macclain.”

Estelle nodded, “Thank you.”

Only then did the man look at Manley one more time, then got on the elevator.

Manley sneered and dragged Estelle further down the hallway.

There were people all around – guests, waiters – and Estelle didn’t want to attract attention. She lowered her voice, “Where are we going?”

Manley replied gently, “To eat cake!”

Estelle suddenly thought of the indifferent expression she had seen on the man outside Midnight 3ar, and an indescribable annoyance surged in her heart. “Let me go! I’m saying it one last time!”

Manley looked back at her, “What, you want to hit me?”

This was her workplace, and he was a guest. She didn’t think she’d dare to do anything with him.
