Nicolas looked at her in disbelief, “You’re mad just because the bag and necklace I bought for you are fake? You look down on me for being poor?” Norah didn’t understand how this man could be so brazen. Disgust filled her eyes, “I don’t care if you’re poor or not. What I care is how disgusting you are! You slept with Leah and took her money, how can you still say I’m the one you love?” 

Nicolas‘ face changed dramatically from shock to panic, “Norah, what are you talking about? I have nothing to do with Leah. She does like me, but I’ve already rejected her!” 

Norah didn’t say a word, just took out her phone and played a recording for him to hear. 

As soon as he heard Leah’s voice, Nicolas‘ face turned pale, and his entire body froze. Then his face became flushed and furious. 

“Where did this come from?” Nicolas asked. 

Norah replied, “You don’t need to know where it came from. I just want to know if what Leah said is true,” 

Nicolas didn’t dare look at Norah, his expression tense. 

Norah felt a sharp pain in her heart, tears filling her eyes again. She couldn’t bear to look at him anymore and got up to leave. 

“Norah!” Nicolas grabbed her hand, his face full of guilt and fear, “Norah, don’t go, don’t break up with me, I really love you! I didn’t willingly get together with Leah. She got me drunk and took me to a hotel.” 

He looked full of remorse and regret, “I didn’t want to take her money either, but she threatened me, saying if I didn’t accept it, she would send the photos to you. I only compromised so I wouldn’t lose you. Please forgive me, and give me another chance. I really love you, I can’t live without you!” 

Norah shook his hand off, disbelief in her eyes, “Even now, how can you still say you were forced? How can you still say it was for me?” 

“Norah!” Nicolas‘ eyes were filled with tears, he looked truly remorseful, “I was wrong, I really know I was wrong now, please forgive me just this 

once!” 

Looking at the man in front of her, Norah felt like he had split himself into two people: one who loved her and couldn’t bear to let her go, and another who was infatuated with Leah’s money, unable to let go either. 

The two souls within him were tearing him apart, making him unrecognizable. 

“Cousin!” 

Leah suddenly walked in from the doorway, wearing a huge mask, a designer dress, and high heels. Her eyes were fixed on Nicolas as she said softly with a smile, “Your manager said you came out to meet a client and I figured you must be on a date.” 

“How did you get here?” Nicolas became even more panicked. 

“I came to see you!” Leah smiled seductively, then turned to Norah, “Norah, you’re really thoughtless, making my cousin come out during work. He’s about to be promoted to deputy manager, aren’t you just sabotaging his future?” 

Norah looked at her with disgust, “No need to keep pretending in front of me. From now on, he’s yours, just take him and get the hell out of here! 

“What are you talking about?” Leah’s face darkened, but her eyes were brimming with triumph. 

“Isn’t this what you wanted?” Norah sneered, “From now on, you don’t have to sneak around to get him drunk. You can openly go on dates!” Leah didn’t bother hiding her intentions anymore, “Don’t blame him. He’s a man, and he has his needs. If you weren’t so prudish, your man wouldn’t be driven to cheat on you!” 

“Shut up!” Nicolas scolded her, sweat dripping from his forehead, not daring to look at Norah. 

Leah proudly laughed, “Did I say anything wrong? You even told me in bed that Norah is like a piece of wood on bed, that she doesn’t even know how to kiss. You also said holding me is much more comfortable than holding her.” 

“Enough!” Nicolas angrily interrupted Leah. 

Norah looked at Nicolas incredulously, her face was filled with humiliation and sadness, “You two are disgusting!” 

Leah’s face turned cold, “Who are you calling disgusting?” 

“You, you shameless bitch!” Norah yelled hatefully. 

“How dare you insult me?” Leah’s eyes widened, she grabbed a bag from the table and swung it at Norah’s face.
