Charlie’s face was dark, glancing at Emily, and snorted, “you don’t even know how to please a men, just prepare to be single for the rest of your life!” 

After saying that, he turned around and left. 

Emily’s face flushed red, muttering softly, “Even if I’m single, I wouldn’t choose a man like you!” 

Charlie suddenly turned back and said, “What are you mumbling about?” 

Emily tilted her head up slightly, looking at the ceiling, pretending not to know anything, and headed towards her room. 

Charlie let out a wry smile and returned to his room to sleep. 

After Estelle and Jonathan left, they didn’t take the elevator, but went upstairs by stairs. 

There were no other condos in these two floors and no one used the stairs. It would be even less likely for anyone to be there at this time. 

Jonathan scooped up Estelle directly, took firm steps, and walked upstairs one step at a time. 

The man lowered his head slightly and pecked her lips. With a gentle smile on his handsome face, he asked, “Did you drink alcohol?” 

Estelle wrapped her arms around his shoulders, “Just a little bit.” 

“What else did you do? I’ll consider leniency if you tell the truth,” the man said with a light smile. 

Estelle shifted her eyes guiltily, thinking that he would not know about the ice cream she had finished before he came. She laughed and said, “I just had a little drink, I swear!” 

Jonathan nodded slowly, “Before I came, Charlie sent me a photo. In the photo, I saw you holding a tub of ice cream, eating it happily. Did I see it wrong?“/ 

Estelle stared with her big, clear eyes, and said without changing her face, “It must be a photoshopped photo by Charlie, just trying to instigate our relationship. You get fooled by him!” 

Jonathan suddenly realized and said seriously, “You’re right; we can’t fall for his trick!” 

Estelle smiled and kissed him on the face. 

The two had already entered the door upstairs. Jonathan closed the door with a slow and unhurried tone, “No ice cream for you for the next month. And don’t think I’m punishing you. If you do and it causes any unhappiness between us, it would mean that we’re still being manipulated by Charlie!” 

Estelle’s smile gradually disappeared, and she looked at the man with pursed lips, “Can’t I even have one tub?” 

“Not even one!” Jonathan’s tone was firm. 

Unwilling to give in, Estelle smiled, “Didn’t you have guests at home? Why did you come back?” 

Jonathan said, “To prove that I’m not into men!” 

Estelle, “…” 

She leaned her head against his shoulder, buried her face in the crook of his neck, and softened her voice, “Can I still get leniency now if I confess?” 

Jonathan chuckled, patted her back reassuringly, and said, “What do you think?” 

When Jonathan carried Estelle back to the bedroom, he saw the lit cellphone on the cabinet, but he ignored it. 

At almost 3 am, Estelle was asleep, and Jonathan finally got up and checked his phone. 

It was a message from Charlie at midnight, “You’re so eager to come back, beware of getting too emotionally involved!” 

Jonathan smiled, threw the phone away, went to the balcony for a smoke, and after opening the window and waited for the smell of smoke to disperse, he returned to the bedroom, lay on the bed, and pulled the sleeping girl into his arms. 

With Jonathan’s protection, Estelle rarely had to serve drinks in other private rooms, but the news that a beautiful waitress had arrived on the 8th floor quickly spread in Midnight Bar. 

Manley Scott had been busy with a new project in his company, hadn’t been to Midnight Bar for almost a month, and as soon as he arrived, he barely sat down when the others talked about the new girl. 

Others knew of his feud with Jonathan and deliberately talked about it within his earshot.
