Estelle lifted her head and gave a light smile, “Hey there!”
“I just made you a cup of coffee according to your preferences.” Kally put down the coffee, seeing Estelle working on her design, she said considerately, “I’ll head out for now. Tell me if you need anything”
“Sure thing!”
Estelle took a sip of her iced coffee, the cool refreshment making her feel relaxed from the inside out.
She sat directly on the carpet, sipping her coffee while working on her design.
Sabina walked in to put some documents on Jonathan’s desk, and then she turned her eyes on Estelle, narrowing them slightly.
She remembered Jonathan’s harsh words just now, and her mood turned cold. Jonathan was usually nice to her, only when it came to Estelle did he turn cold and ruthless.
Sabina approached Estelle, looking down at her, “Why are you with Mr. Lamont?”
Estelle didn’t lift her head, “That’s none of your business.”
Hearing the similarity in Estelle’s tone with Jonathan’s, Sabina felt annoyed and her jealousy flared up. “Estelle, is it because Snowy Studios is going under that you’re so desperate to latch onto the Lamont family? Estelle paused her pen, and looked up slightly at Sabina, “Studying abroad for a few years, all you’ve learned is to judge others from your high horse? Any wise person would know to keep their mouth shut when they don’t know the full story, but your so–called wisdom only made you arrogant!”
“You!” Sabina glared at Estelle.
Estelle continued on her design with composure, “If you’re into Jonathan, just go for it, confess, and see if he likes you too. Once you know his feelings, you’ll know what to do, instead of seeing every woman close to Jonathan as a threat. You should know your place.”
Sabina glared at Estelle as if seeing mockery on her face, but she remained proud. Showing disdain for Estelle’s words, she strode away in her high heels.
Meanwhile, two men who had caused a scene on the set and got beaten up by the bodyguards got up with bruised faces and walked to a secluded place to call the person who had contacted them earlier. As soon as the call was connected, the person on the phone asked, “How’d it go?”
The two men grimaced, “Someone’s protecting her. We couldn’t get to her.”
The person on the phone snapped, “Are you guys dumb or what? Couldn’t you wait till she’s alone before making a move?”
The man touched the blood at the corner of his mouth, “We thought she was alone and didn’t expect someone to be protecting her the whole time.”
The person on the phone was silent.
Worried about not getting paid, the man quickly said, “But, the person you wanted us to hit seems to have been fired from the set.”
“Really?”
“Yes, we heard it!” The man said, “We got discovered and beaten up, so you should give us a bit more money”
The person on the phone said, “Il transfer the money to you later. Don’t mention this to anyone
