She thought at first that if anyone was going to accuse her of plagiarism, it should be Estelle. But why was it KING?
She printed her designs from Estelle’s computer, so how did they end up being KING’s?
Did KING give them to Estelle?
Did Estelle know these weren’t her designs and that’s why Estelle never confronted her?
Carmella was confused. But luckily, public opinion online was mostly on her side. As long as she denied the plagiarism allegations, nobody could harm her.
Visionary Studios seized the opportunity to stir the pot, hiring online trolls and Carmella’s fans to attack GK and KING’s Twitter accounts with filthy words and harassment, in a bid to force GK’s head and KING to explain to Carmella.
KING’s Twitter account was managed by Jason, who turned off the comment section and immediately called Estelle.
“What the hell is going on online?”
“Before I sent my design sketches to Harriet, Carmella might have seen them,” Estelle replied.
Jason had his lightbulb moment, “So, all her designs on Beauty’s Wardrobe were ripped off from you?”
“She’s crafty to incorporate all my key innovative elements into her designs. That’s why each piece has a striking resemblance.”
Jason frowned, “When did you find out?”
“Yesterday. I wanted to postpone the launch when I found out, but it was too late.”
Jason inhaled sharply, scoffing, “No wonder Carmella seemed gifted all of a sudden. She didn’t learn a thing from the last incident. She is still ripping off designs!”
Estelle calmly said, “She just hates me more now.”
“What should we do now? Her designs were released before GK’s, and everyone thinks you ripped her off!” Jason complained.
Estelle calmly suggested, “Now disable comments on KING’s and the studio’s accounts. Ignore everything and just let them fuss!”
Jason trusted Estelle’s judgment when it came to big decisions. Seeing her remain so composed, he nodded, “It is a good thing that no one knows you’re KING. They all think that KING is male. So they can’t come at you directly. Call me if anything comes up.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Estelle quickly received calls from Sophia, Magdalen, and even Old Mr. Quintin.
Clearly, even Old Mr. Quintin was alarmed by this incident.
Estelle told them to keep calm and she would handle it.
Magdalen trusted Estelle, but she was still furious. She didn’t want Carmella’s trolls to dominate. She also hired some trolls to fight back and control the
comments!
Sallie also contacted Estelle, “Carmella really plagiarized your designs, didn’t you notice before?”
Estelle felt hard to accept that. She said helplessly, “I should have watched the show earlier.”
At that time, she had a fight with Jonathan and didn’t feel like watching entertainment programs. Then Old Mr. Jarvis fell ill, and she stayed in C City for nearly ten days. After returning, she had a lot to deal with in the crew. She was super busy every day, so she hadn’t seen Carmella’s designs.
“She’s outrageous! Carmella ripped your designs and was so audacious to flaunt it at the celebration party!” Sallie raged.
Estelle said, “Maybe because I didn’t confront her in the earlier episodes, so she thought she was in the clear and took those designs as her own.” “What should we do now? She seems to have hired a lot of online trolls to overpower your fans. I defended you online, but my comments were drowned out by negative ones!”
“No worries, let her run wild. The only thing you need to do is to watch!” Estelle said calmly.
“She can’t get away with this! I’m dropping everything now, and I’ll rally my family and friends to go online and criticize Carmella!” Sallie was fuming. Estelle advised, “Don’t waste your energy.”
“No, I’m going to slam her!”
After saying this angrily, Sallie hung up and went off to aggregate people to join her in slamming Carmella.
