Inside the private room 8801, Manley stopped Estelle at the door, “Just a joke, you’re really mad?”

Manley’s smile gradually faded, and he gazed at Estelle with a serious expression. He spoke softly, “Do you truly believe that I have any desire for a cake?”
Estelle snorted, “If you don’t need a cake, you just want to fool around with me!”
“I’m sorry!” Manley frowned, his gaze became solemn and his voice slightly heavy, “I didn’t know you would get so angry! Actually, I really wanted a cake from you, I was afraid that if I told the truth, you wouldn’t even care about me, so I lied to you!”
Estelle sneered, “You just said you don’t need a cake!”
Manley’s eyes lost their brightness as he cast a glance at the bustling crowd inside the room. A trace of self–derision appeared on his lips as he spoke, “Indeed, as the heir of the Scott family, I am always surrounded by a large entourage, especially on my birthday. They shower me with gifts worth thousands or even millions of dollars, yet no one remembers to give me a simple cake. They never realize that all I truly desire on my birthday is a humble cake and the words ‘happy birthday“.”
He looked intensely at Estelle, “I wanted to use your hands to send myself a cake and a birthday wish. If it makes you unhappy, I apologize.”
As Estelle perceived a tinge of loneliness in Manley’s voice, her anger began to dissipate, and her tone softened. She uttered, “Regardless of who the cake was intended for, I came here to fulfill my obligation. The cake is yours, and I have upheld my promise.”
Estelle extended the cake towards Manley, handing it over to him.
Manley’s face lit up with a radiant smile, exuding a sense of happiness and contentment. He accepted the cake with both hands and requested, “Can you say ‘happy birthday‘ to me once more?”
Estelle hesitated for a moment, then slowly uttered, “Happy birthday!”
Just as she finished, someone suddenly pushed a cake cart from the nearby leisure area. The cake on the cart was seven layers high, someone shouted, “It’s time!”
The lights in the room switched on suddenly, and everyone yelled in unison, “Happy birthday, Manley!”
Manley’s countenance underwent an abrupt transformation, caught off guard by Estelle’s reaction. Estelle, taken aback, stared at Manley with an increasingly somber expression.
Attempting to clarify the situation, Manley slowly retreated while clutching the cake, saying, “Babe, I had no idea they had ordered a cake for me as well!”
Estelle, furious at being tricked twice, rushed forward to grab Manley, even if she couldn’t beat him, she had to take back the cake!
Suddenly, with a loud “bang,” the heavy wooden door was kicked open. Estelle turned around and was instantly speechless.

Jonathan’s eyes filled with anger as he fixed a cold stare on Estelle.
Witnessing the change in atmosphere, Manley’s smile faded away. He handed the cake to someone nearby and began to approach slowly, sensing the tension in the air.
He stood by Estelle’s side, mocking, ‘Is Mr. Lamont here to celebrate my birthday too? Just a bit of a weird way to come in.” Jonathan’s gaze turned icy as he glanced at Estelle, his voice devoid of emotion as he spoke, “My girlfriend didn’t return home last night, so I came searching for her and found her here.”
Manley’s eyes glimmered with a coldness, a smirk forming on his lips as he remarked, “Are you looking for Estelle? She came to celebrate my birthday and even brought a cake. Mr. Lamont, would you care to stay and enjoy some cake?‘
“No need!” Estelle suddenly spoke, reached out to hold Jonathan’s hand, and said softly, “Let’s go out first!”
Jonathan resisted the urge to shake her hand off, scoffed, “Why the rush? At least let me have a piece of the cake you gave Mr. Manley. Is there something scary on the cake?”
“How could there be?” Manley smiled and shouted, “Clement, bring the cake over, I’ll personally cut a piece for Mr. Lamont to taste.” “Manley!” Estelle yelled, turning to Jonathan and softening her tone, “Jonathan!”
Jonathan’s deep eyes stared at Estelle for a moment, then he looked at Manley meaningfully, “I’ve been on a business trip for half a month, she’s anxious. We’ll pass on the cake. Mr. Scott, continue to have fun with your friends, we won’t bother you!”
After saying that, he pulled Estelle and turned to leave.
