Jonathan and Estelle returned from the balcony, smiling and saying. “It’s getting late. Ella and I are going to hit the hay; you guys should too.”
Emily blushed slightly, deliberately asking Charlie in Estelle’s presence, “Are you planning to crash in the guest room?”

Jonathan, still smiling, took Estelle’s hand, and they left.
Emily saw Jonathan and Estelle out, feeling a bit miffed. She didn’t look at Charlie but went straight back to her room.
Charlie was feeling a bit antsy. He wanted to have a smoke, but he picked up a cigarette and then put it back down.
After a while, Emily came out with a bathrobe, placed it on the arm of the sofa, and said, “Go take a shower!”

“I’m not sleepy, I want to see if the lipstick I gave you looks good. Go get it.” Charlie’s voice was low, and his gaze was soft.
Emily bit her lip slightly and got up to get the lipstick.
There were eight colors in total. Emily took them to the bathroom, looked at her face in the mirror, and was about to pick a color when suddenly she saw Charlie’s handsome face in the mirror.
Charlie approached, looking at Emily’s reflection in the mirror.
The two of them looked at each other in the mirror. Emily blushed first, lowering her eyes.

“For what?” Charlie pretended to be confused.
Emily felt like she was going to cry. “Charlie, what do I have to do for you to let me go?”
“If I let you go, who’s going to let me go?” Charlie’s eyes gradually cooled.
Emily’s eyes were slightly red, tears were beginning to well up. She choked out, “I was wrong!”
