Estelle found it unbelievable. “Charlie in Emily’s robe?”

“Charlie’s charm is too much for many girls to resist, that’s normal” Jonathan walked over, put his arm around her waist, and held her close. “They’re adults, there’s nothing to worry about”
Estelle raised an eyebrow and said “Charlie’s a fox, Emily’s a little bunny, they’re not on the same level if Charlie dares to hurt Emily, I won’t let him off
Estelle felt tom. On one hand, she felt sorry for Emily for raising her and Charlie’s child alone, hoping she could fall in love with Charlie and be with him. On the other hand, she worried Charlie might not truly love Emily, just like his ex-girlfriends, who lost interest after three months.
“I promise Charlie is serious this time” Jonathan kissed her fomhead and said, “Trust me
Estelle nodded “As long as Charlie doesn’t hurt Emily, I won’t interfere.”
After all, it was Emily’s private affair She believed Emily could handle it.
“Let’s eat first” Jonathan suggested with a smile.
Estelle shook her head. “I want to take a bath first!”
“Let’s do it together then!” Jonathan scooped her up, heading for the bathroom.
“Let’s eat first!” Estelle immediately protested, thinking if they took a bath together, they’d be late for work. What’s the point of breakfast, then?
Jonathan, satisfied from the previous night, didn’t push her and set her down on a chair, pouring her a glass of milk
Downstairs, Emily stepped out to find breakfast on the table and asked in surprise, “Is Estelle here?”
“Yep!” Charlie nodded.
“Did she see you?” Emily asked.
Charlie frowned at her in annoyance and asked, “What’s there to be scared of?”
Emily looked frustrated. Charlie showing up at her house early in the morning, wearing her robe, Estelle must have misunderstood. Charlie said angrily, “What’s with that face? Drop it now!”
Emily stood her ground and said, “This is my house; I can make whatever face I want!
Charlie squinted. “Recovered in just one night? Seems like you replenished all the water you cried out last night after the shower!”
Knowing he was mocking her for crying last night, Emily felt even angrier. She mumbled under her breath, “You’re the one with water in your brain!” Charlie’s face changed. “What did you say?”
Emily rolled her eyes and quickly ran off to the kitchen.
Kya, sitting in her chair, asked Charlie, “What’s wrong with mom?”
“She’s off to replenish the water in her brain!” Charlie laughed.
Emily, who was drinking water in the kitchen, spit it out, coughing a few times. She glared at Charlie with red eyes.
Charlie looked at her and laughed. “Done replenishing? Come eat!”
Emily was annoyed and sat as far away from Charlie as possible when she returned to the dining room.
But with the dining table being small, she was still only a few steps away.
Charlie handed her a sandwich. The mocking smile gone from his face, he said softly, “Must be hard taking care of Kya, right?”
Last night he slept with Kya, and she was restless in her sleep. He worried she would kick off the covers and catch a cold, so he woke up several times in the night to cover her up.
