She winked and said with a chuckle, “Honestly, compared to the food that my personal chef makes, the food on set is like a diet plan for me. Estelle is quite something: her lunch is always different from ours, but she’s still so skinny.”
Yulia asked curiously, “What does she eat for lunch every day?”
“I heard it’s a specially customized lunch, Abalone and lobster are different every day. Even her lunch box is different from everyone else’s.” Yulia scoffed, “What’s so special about lobster and abalone? I can’t eat them anyway.”
“Nothing special. I just find it weird why the director is so nice to her.” Carmella replied, “You’re the leading lady, you should be the most important person on the set. But Mr. Tucker seems to favor Estelle even more than you it’s just hard to swallow!”
“Exactly!” Yulia put down her spoon, looking unhappy. “Why is Mr. Tucker so nice to her? I’m the leading lady, she’s just a designer!”
“I heard people saying that Mr. Tucker initially wanted Estelle to be the leading lady. He kept inviting her to act, but Estelle didn’t want to. They also said Carmella stopped short
“Said what?” Yulia asked, grinding her teeth.
“They also said that because Estelle didn’t want to act, the leading role fell on you. Mr. Tucker actually prefers Estelle, so he took extra care of her, and he doesn’t really value you as the leading lady!” Carmella frowned, saying angrily, “I was so mad when I heard that, I had a big fight with them!”
Yulia was already turning green with anger. “I’m going to find the director and ask him what’s going on!”
She got up angrily, ready to storm out.
Carmella quickly stopped her, saying, “You absolutely can’t go!”
“Why can’t I go?” Yulia asked indignantly.
“If you go find Mr. Tucker and he doesn’t admit it, what can you do? As for the food, if Mr. Tucker says it’s Snowy Studios treatment for staff, how can you argue?” Carmella replied with a sarcastic laugh.
Yulia gritted her teeth. “Am I supposed to endure this humiliation?”
“You don’t have to.” Carmella winked at her and said, “There are plenty of ways to deal with Estelle without going through Mr. Tucker, right?”
Yulia winked back, a smirk on her face. “Then I meet this Estelle in person!”
In the afternoon, while Estelle was busy, Yulia’s assistant came to fetch her and said, “Estelle, Yulia wants you to come over. Hurry up, she’s got a fiery temper!”
After saying this, she turned and left.
Blythe, standing aside, looked incredulous. “Who does she think she is?”
She frowned at Estelle and said, “Yulia has her own designer, why is she asking you to come?”
Estelle put the documents she was sorting aside and said, “It’s nothing: I’ll go have a look.”
Yulia was in her dressing room, playing video games, with her assistant waiting outside. Seeing Estelle coming, she quickly reported, “Yulia, Estelle is here!”
Yulia, lounging in her chair, scoffed, “So she’s here; what are you squawking about?”
Unable to hide a look of excitement and thrill, the assistant stood aside in silence.
Estelle knocked and entered, her expression calm and gentle. “Yulia, you called for me?”
Yulia glanced at Estelle while continuing her game, speaking lazily. “These clothes are all messed up: Carmella isn’t here, tidy them up.”
Estelle saw about four or five outfits on the floor, all of which looked like ones Yulia had tried on before.
She didn’t argue with Yulia that this wasn’t within her job description, but she picked up the clothes and tidied them up
