Chapter 1140
Estelle felt embarrassment and shot Jonathan a glare before turning to Henson with a stern expression and saying, “Get back to your studies already!”
With that said, she picked up her bag and headed straight into the villa.
Henson raised an eyebrow at Jonathan and sighed, “Jonathan, Ms. McClain is still giving you the cold shoulder, huh? You’ve got to step up your game!”
Jonathan lightly patted his shoulder and said, “You need to step up too!”
“Step up what?” Henson asked, puzzled.
“Step up and help me win over Ms. McClain!” Jonathan replied seriously.
Henson put on a mature face and said, “No problem, I’ll definitely help you out. After all, I’m closer to Ms. McClain than you are.”
Jonathan went silent.
Rage all you wanted, but you’ll never stand a chance with Ms. McClain!
While Henson was taking a quick shower, Estelle sat in his room, checking over his schoolwork for the week.
Knowing that Estelle was waiting for him, Henson didn’t dawdle and came out ready for his lesson after a quick shower and change of clothes.
Estelle glanced at him and said. “Need to dry your hair?”
Henson touched his short hair and said, “No need, it’ll dry in no time.”
“Let’s get started with the lesson then!”
The first part of the lesson was spent reviewing homework, and the second part was dedicated to identifying any problems and preparing for the upcoming week’s lessons.
Henson handed over his weekend homework for Estelle to check: “How did I do?”
Estelle had already looked it over and said, “Not bad; you’ve improved a lot.
“Why don’t you show it to Jonathan?” Henson suggested with a grin, “So he can show my dad and he won’t think I’m slacking off.”
Estelle seemed to see right through him and smiled, saying, “No need; I already sent photos of your homework to your mom while you were in the shower, Your parents are together, right?”
Henson was speechless,
He muttered under his breath, “Next time, you can let Jonathan show my dad. That way, they won’t think you’re trying to suck up to them.”
Estelle remained expressionless. “No need; I’m just being professional. Your parents aren’t as petty as you.”
Henson had nothing to say in reply.
After the lesson, Henson said, “Stay for lunch. Jonathan had someone make your favorite soup.”
Estelle paused while packing her books and said, “No need; I have plans to visit a friend at noon.”
Henson reacted with surprise: “You have friends?”
Estelle laughed. “Why can’t I have friends?”
Henson raised an eyebrow. “I thought no one could stand your personality?
“Then my friends must really love mel’ Estelle said, feigning enlightenment
Estelle huffed and left with her bag
As soon as they stepped out, they saw Jonathan coming down the stairs from the third floor. He was freshly showered and dressed in a white shirt and black pants, with a suit jacket draped over his arm. It looked like he was heading out
Jonathan turned and smiled, saying, “Perfect timing: I’m headed out too. I can give you a ride”
Estelle looked calmly at Henson, she didn’t believe this was a coincidence
I couldn’t resist commenting
